The Stand NYC reviews
17The cesar Salas is a simple plate for whatever food place, here is the worse option in the menu, I asking for chicken cutle and they add bonesless thigh.
Beautiful venue, nice in the evening to see an entertaining show and have a drink and a bite to eat.
Also excellent for a quick brunch for lunch, the pizza is good.
Great Calogero!
Great comedy show. Such a good lineup of comedians. The drinks are great, and they come out fast.
Love the comedy shows and atmosphere, but they will overcharge your credit card if you use it. My wife and I were doing our quarterly taxes and reviewing our purchases when we stumbled upon a $216 charge for a total of TWO drinks we purchased at this place. I went online and looked and there are other people who have had this happen to them - do not use your credit cards here. The owner absolutely should take responsibility for the pattern of overcharging customers paying with credit cards.
Editing this to note that management reached out to me and my wife and remedied this situation within a couple days of posting the original review. Really appreciate how they made things right and invited us back to the venue. I maintain that this is a GREAT spot to watch comedians - and if there are issues, address them with management and they'll work it out for you.
I visited the library.
I don't know if it was because it was Saturday, but there were few people and it was quiet.
There were a lot of books to read and a lot of space to read books.
The center of the library is open from the first floor to the last floor, so it has a good view and good ventilation. It was such a building that was a bit inferior in terms of efficiency of space use, but good for mobility and formative beauty.
This is a life saver. I will no longer have to ask for directions to another person. Unless I lose my phone.
Very rude service staff. Waste of time and money. Don’t go here. They try to scam my group. Would give zero stars if I could.
After a disappointing trip to another comedy venue, the stand made up for it.
Awesome venue and proper funny comedians. Drinks were good and all the staff were great, highly recommend if you want to see funny people in NYC and avoid the tourist traps.
We went to watch Steve Ho’s show and had dinner at the restaurant before the show. Service was very good. 4 of us ordered the stand burger and they were burnt but to compensate for that because we brought it to the server’s attention, we were given complimentary dessert, their donuts which was really good. Venue for the show which was in the basement was nice. We’d go back to watch a show but consider eating somewhere else.
Great destination for a memorable dining experience. We enjoyed the oysters and salmon. The dessert menu looks delicious. The stand is great and spacious and has stand up comedy nights as well.
Great spaces for comedy + lineups are always at least solid, I've never seen a bad show there even early in the week. Overall dope spot I don't get to often enough
Great low-key brunch spot! The food came out quickly and was delicious. The servers are friendly and check on you frequently. Loved their mimosas!
Overall great drinks and great seats for the show. A lot less to deal with compared to the comedy cellar but just as funny.
Terrible experience, we didn’t even finish watching the show. For a place located right in union square you wouldn’t expect to be discriminated against. But that’s how the staff made my friends and I feel. Will never come back here ever again and will not recommend to place to others. Very disappointed in my experience here.
Went yesterday with friends and asked for separate checks for our orders so we could divide up and pay for our individual orders. The server instead split the bill down the middle and I ended up paying way more than I was supposed to. Comedy is good but I think the servers need to pay more attention.
Brought my friends here from out of town and we had a blast! Unlike most comedy spots The comics were actually funny! The staff were so pretty and friendly and if your looking for dessert the Baked new Yorker was AMAZEBALLS! Def coming back
