Stone Pony catered our recent wedding and they were SPECTACULAR. John was so helpful and communicative the entire time leading up to the celebration. They were able to work with certain dietary restrictions and special requests. The food was all fabulous and the guests raved about it. Everything was hot and flavorful. We absolutely loved them and would use them again.

Thank you for the delicious wraps that the deli made and delivered for a bridal party getting ready for a wedding. The wraps were super fresh and delicious. The bride and groom and their bridesmaids and groomsmen were soo happy to have lunch before the big day.

My friends bridal shower was here, brunch, bar, nice staff. Zero complaints. Definitely something I want to look into for an event space

Their food is amazing; the only reason they are 4 star and not 5 is their hours are horrible and inconsistent. I never know if they are going to be open or closed.

I'm in shock at now amazing and reasonably priced the food is. The crab cake was better than what I've had at fancy seafood restaurants. The portions are large. If I lived nearby I'd get lunch here every day.

Having spent time in Texas, I know what good BBQ is. And when I visited in thw past, the Pony was good. Last night, I have to say, it was depressing. I was more impressed with th4 cornbread than meat selection

Right off the bat the bartender (who is apparently the owner) had attitude with us at the start of a friends wedding, yelling at us with poor attitude where our gifts for the wedding should go, instead of just being informative or nice about it. Later, I heard him be super unprofessional with a guest encouraging him to NOT to open a tab…at a bar… turns out they did not know how to close one. Instead of getting upset at a paying customer, it would make more sense to figure it out yourself. Got mad for trying to close our tab, wouldn’t give the price of an individual fireball whiskey shot without continuous mocking questioning and same repetitive answers of what the tab total was, instead of saying what the cost of the shot would be (to add to the open tab) and had extreme negative and unprofessional attitude when we were leaving home taunting and verbally harassing us us by saying things in a mocking manner. Didn’t think this would happen to again a PAYING customer at what was supposed to be a nice wedding

Just had our 40th HS Class Reunion there. When it came to planning John was very professional and responsive to our needs. We had an hor d'oeuvre hour; crab cakes, mozzarella sticks, and homemade jalapeno poppers; absolutely delicious. BBQ buffet dinner included pulled pork sliders, chicken, brisket, vegan sausage and peppers, coleslaw, and potato salad; absolute deliciousness! The staff was very accommodating, attentive, and professional. Thank you John and Staff for an outstanding reunion, one we will never forget.

Gosh, what to even say. My wife and I chose Stone Pony to cater and host our 100 person Oct 2020 wedding because my mother-in-law is the heart of their catering staff. She was so excited to make our wedding special by preparing her recipes for our menu. So we sat down for a consultation with John in Feb 2020 and booked the date. He treated us like family, even gave us the "don't tell anyone about this" discount. But by May we knew we would need to push our date with many of my family living outside the area, and we communicated this to John. We asked not to set another date until we knew more about how to do it safely. We did not ask for our deposit back, figured it was better in his hands so we could get first pick of dates once able. Plus, we have a family connection. Multiple times throughout the last year it seemed like we may be able to set a date, Covid was subsiding. But of course each time we were almost ready to set a date a new wave would pop up. It became so frustrating that in Sept 2021 we finally threw in the towel, it just wasn't possible to have the event we wanted. This was in no ones control. When I expressed this to John last week I asked that we get our deposit back as we had no date held and hadn't kept him from doing any business. He began by telling me that we had come to him months before because we were strapped for cash. None of which was true and he provided no proof, receipt, or record of this. But apparently he does actually do cash deposit refunds, even though he'll deny it.

Once his lie was corrected, I tried to express to him the gravity of our situation and that I would never ask for this money back if it weren't absolutely necessary for us to live. We still wanted to do our event at some point even if it wasn't everything what we wanted. He offered us our deposit as credit that was usable for 8 months. Basically a deadline to make use of our money with him. After multiple one-line, copy and pasted responses, he offered to put a gift card with no expiration in the mail for us. How nice! Everything I had shared with him about our current circumstance meant nothing. He was keeping our $500 as though he earned it, and only offered credit and gift cards because he already spent it without even a date on the books. Our initial meeting was less than an hour. So much for family.

If you've gotten this far, keep going. You'll find great experiences all surrounding their catered food, as Kathy goes above and beyond to prepare fresh and delicious food for Johns customers. I strongly suggest hiring her to cater your production or job site, separately. It truly is a shame that for the family of an employee of about 10 years, this is the result. And it all started with a ‘favor’.

We ordered the pulled pork and chicken wings from the catering menu. Both were delicious and the portions were large. I would highly recommend them for a catering event.

Had my daughters bridal shower catered by John. Extremely professional, I showed up and did nothing! It was perfect! Perfect set up, perfect colors perfect everything! Highly recommend!

At a wedding of about 75 people, the guy who served us (who turned out to be the owner) had a poor attitude each time we asked for a drink at the bar. He was annoyed when asked to open a tab, and was confrontational when I asked to close it, saying "what's the problem? You're trying to do what? " On my way out he said "Did you have a good night SIR? " Very loudly and rudely as though he was angry. I would not go back if he was there.

Stone Pony Catering catered our wedding for 125 people and it was just fantastic. Everyone raved about the food during cocktail hour, dinner, and dessert. It was delicious! We did a traditional cocktail hour with passed appetizers, a seated family style dinner, and a dessert buffet. The bar was fully stocked. John is an absolute pleasure to work with and his staff is professional and friendly. We couldn't be happier with our choice.

Just such a great place. The pizza is incredible and the people who work there are amazing. My son's favorite place to eat as well as me and my wife. The place is so clean and everything is freshly made If you want a great pizza and great service then you need to stop by The Stone Pony. I'm bragging about the pizza but everything they have there is top notch.
