After wanting to come here for a while, my boyfriend and I finally did it and we ended up quite underwhelmed. The atmosphere wasn’t very cozy for dinner as it was dark in the center of the restaurant but at the edges the lights directly above our heads were incredibly bright, which made it for awkward lighting. Anyway, the food. The broth was decent, but the noodles were. So. Soft. Usually there is a springiness to noodles that make it good against the texture of the soft meat, but it was all mushy. The meat though was incredibly good and very tender. I was also pleasantly surprised by the fact that they offered an oxtail noodle dish. Not sure if it was an off night but be sure to ask to not have your noodles overdone, texturally wise it brought the entire dish down and we could not enjoy it. Did like the fried turnip cakes though.

The Tang is a culinary oasis, where the artistry of flavors meets a welcoming embrace. It was OK, I expected a little more considering they charge more than their competition and they're the new kids on the block.

My fiancée and I were very excited to try this place because of the great reviews and we both like noodles. Unfortunately, it did not live up to the hype. We got the braised beef noodle soup and the drunk noodles and both were so bland with no flavor. We also got the garlic pork dumplings but that was even worse. The ambiance and service were great but we definitely wouldn’t come back.

Visited this cute and cozy Chinese noodle restaurant at the UWS. They have a modern and cool vibe. They have an open kitchen concept so if you sit by the counter you can see the chef's cook your food.

The main dish that people recommended was the braise beef noodles and it was pretty good. The beef was tender and there was a lot of flavor. Even though it mentioned that it's spicy I find it moderate even though I can't eat spicy food.

My friend got the oxtail beef noodle soup. This is good if you want something light because the flavor is definitely not as strong as the beef noodles.

Some dishes we got to share was the fried tiger prawns with salted egg yolk, braised beef lucky bag and the pan fried turnip cake. They were all so delicious and portion size was great.

If I have to recommend a few dishes I would definitely go for the fried tiger prawns with salted egg yolks. The prawns were so fresh and huge. The braised beef lucky bags. It's so tasty. A lot of flavors in every bite and the braised beef noodle soup.

I never throw away food, but this messed up my stomach so bad it’s still hurting after 3 days. I’ll spare the details but be ready to spend the next couple of days in the bathroom. Terrible experience, ordered through uber eats, went straight to the trash.
Ordered wings, herbal chicken noodle soup, and pork dumplings.

Besides the name of the restaurant reminding me of my childhood orange colored space program breakfast drink, the place is awesome. Menu is fantastic, New items are great. It looks like a kinda-trendy-for-upper-UWS place, but the kitchen and menu are world class.imho

The flavour was overall pretty underwhelming. The atmosphere is nice but the spice and flavour profiles could definitely be kicked up a notch. We ordered the cucumber salad which had very little marinade and was so small for $10. Basically the equivalent of one small cucumber in a bit of sauce. The Dan Dan noodles were tasty but again just underwhelming in flavour. Compared to most spots in China town, the tang was not nearly as good and twice the price.

Ordered Braised Beef Noode Soup and it was overall good except for one piece of beef I tasted. Will definitely go again. The only complaint is that they use metal chopsticks and spoons, so they be very hot in hot soup. Be aware.

Ordered chicken wings from Uber Eats. Picture in the app shows at least 7-8 pieces of chicken in a $15 order (marked up from $10 on the actual menu — which i understand is the fee that Uber charges the restaurant). What I got was 4 pieces. For $15, plus delivery and other fees on top of that. Woof.

A house you should never go to. Wow.my first time in my life at a restaurant like this. It's even worse that they cook the food they will eat on their own step mill rather than the food ordered by the customers, so the food that comes out is even worse. I don't know when I boiled the dumplings and put them in the refrigerator, but they don't fall apart, and the dumpling filling is cold because I didn't heat them properly. Is it that difficult to serve freshly boiled dumplings? I couldn't understand how they could sell something like this to customers, and even the beef noodles were just freshly made noodles. I didn't know when it was boiled, but I couldn't eat it because I couldn't eat it, so I chewed it and spit it out. I also cut the egg in half and put it in the refrigerator, but the egg was cold and fishy, so it tasted bad. I only ate the bean sprouts and bok choy and barely had a few spoonfuls of the soup. I had no appetite and felt like I had a cold, so I went there thinking it would be better to eat warm Chinese food, but really. I don't think a place like this should be in the food business. They sell this thing for $30? I really didn't want to pay even $1, but I barely held back. I painfully realized that in New York, you have to go to a Chinese restaurant where there is a line, even if there is a wait.

Loved the pan fried pork dumplings but service was alright, place could have been more clean but I’m assuming it was closing time.

We visited The Tang located in upper west side which the decor is modern with cozy ambiance. It’s good for a workday quick lunch but also perfect for dating.

We love their Pork Dumplings in Chili Oil which was flavorful with great size of dumplings. The Salt & Pepper Ribs was decent but not as soft as expected.

We shared Beef Noodles Soup, Cold Noodles and Spicy Diced Chicken with a group of five people. Both noodles were delicious with good portion and their braised eggs were impressively satisfying.

The service attitude was very poor and I was very impatient. I poured water and sprinkled it everywhere, even on my mobile phone. Put on a bad face and ignore you. I won’t give you a tip and I’ll chase you for it.

The atmosphere of this place is so cool and vibey. We went for lunch and it was pretty dead at the time. The spicy wontons were just okay but the soup was SO good. I loved it. It was so flavorful and came out pretty quickly. Will definitely be back.
