The Trie Café reviews
3Sad selection of lowest effort snacks and bad drip coffee in a beautiful location. Cashier got taciturn for not getting a tip for ringing up a packet of chips and a Kind bar. Needs at least something approximating espresso and good coffee beans. It isn't 1980 any more, coffee has come to America.
The cloisters are beautiful, but this is the only option for refreshments in the park and do they milk it. $17 for a sandwich that’s been sitting in the sun all day, and you’ll be eating it off a paper plate, and no artisan coffee? There’s also no room to sit inside the galleries and have a good look - they really make you feel unwanted.
The mixed berry scone is amazing, but needs clotted cream. It has my favorite La Columbe coffee and prosecco, and the cocktails and British charcuterie are delicious.
