Currently staying at hotel, very nice except for a stuck bathroom door. Oh and great views, shame the windows are too dirty to see it

We were now in NY for 10 days.
The hotel is in the perfect location for us (both in our early 30s)!
Morning walk via Starbucks to the grand central station, from there you can reach everything.

It's a 10-15 minute walk to Times Square, shopping, musicals, Empire etc. But it doesn't bother you!
On the contrary, we were often happy to get away from the hustle and bustle in the evenings and not live directly on Times Square.

Our room was huge and clean, the best thing was the window with a view of the Empire State Building! Hammer!
Super nice staff, fresh rooms every day.
We saved breakfast:)

We would come again and again!

Cancelled a refundable booking in early August. More than a month later, still no sign of a refund and they have stopped replying to emails. Phone lines are perpetually unanswered.

On the upside; Large rooms, attentive & thoughtful staff in a great Manhattan location a stone's throw from Grand Central station.
On the downside; the guest Wifi was unavailable for half of our weeklong stay, one of only 2 lifts was inoperable (making entry and departure very time consuming) and the rooms don't have basic coffee&tea facilities.

STAY AWAY! It took 1 hour to take my payment in full and after 2 months of submitting refund requests, I have not received my refund. It’s past the 30 business days that you stated you needed to process my refund and nothing but crickets, voicemails, and automated messages. Refund my money! Don’t book here, read the other reviews. A lot of better places to stay than this place.

I booked the Tuscany Hotel for a business trip and contracted Covid just before I was scheduled to arrive. The hotel strictly enforces its no-refund policy and encouraged me to come anyway, even though I am very symptomatic and contagious. They wouldn't give a credit or any other kind of compensation, just full charge for all three days.

Some things to keep in mind when choosing to book this hotel!

9/18/2023 update: The response from the hotel implies that I was offered the chance to "rebook. " This is not true. I was charged for three nights and told that my choices were to come sick or stay home. Either way I would be charged for the full stay.

Still waiting for refund! Booked a refundable stay here from a third party website. Despite the terms being a “book now, pay upon arrival” we were charged the full price almost instantly. Plans changed and we canceled well within the cancellation window. Still have not received our $1500 refund - more than 30 business days later. Avoid this place!

All was perfect!
The room size was 40m, unusual for NYC.
The service and the cleaning was really superb.
The guys in the lobby were really helpful you made us happy with your hospitality

The AC sounded like a train it was so loud. I stopped by the front desk and asked them to fix it, they said they would but never did. The rooms are worn, old, the bathrooms smell like old nasty shower curtain, the room is large for NYC, but smells and is stuffy. No lobby, no amenities, this is a 2 star at best hotel. I would not recommend this hotel.

We discovered WiFi was down across the entire building after check-in.

After numerous attempts, front-desk was unable to provide a resolution.

After asking for compensation/discount for the inconvienance, management offered a 10% refund, which was laughable.

Look elsewhere if you're needing reliable internet access as part your hotel experience.

Good location, large room with view of the Chrysler Building.
But several negative points, dirty windows (damage to the view), water leak in the shower, wet floor in a corner of the room, blood stain on the sheets and luggage storage costs 5 dollars (advertised but 5 euros collected) per bag (even for a small bag), a bit ridiculous to charge for stored baggage when you paid 650 dollars for two nights.

This was an incredible find. Centrally located, reasonably priced, friendly staff and, most importantly, BIG rooms. After spending hours doing research on hotels in NYC, the top complaint at every place I looked was how small/cramped the rooms were. That's not an issue here at all. We had a beautifully spacious corner room with a view of the Chrysler building and One Vanderbilt. Room was super clean as well. The 5 minute walk to Grand Central was also so convenient. We utilized this every single day multiple times. Could not recommend this spot anymore.

This hotel was a nice surprise, simply because the rooms were a bit larger then I expected. Everything was clean and well maintained. I loved the location, walking distance to many different attractions. Staff was present 24/7 but mostly did not engage much.
On a negative side, this is really like an apartment/room provider, there is not much facilities, not the way you normally expect from a hotel. That's ok if you do not expect anything else.

I quite liked it and although everything in Manhattan is expensive, this was quite reasonable.

Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere.

When we booked in February 2023, the average review rating on the leading hotel booking platform was an 8.8 for this hotel. This average has sunk over the past months and after staying there mid April and being in exchange with their customer service in the months following, we know why.

Here is our experience:
Day 1: Sink was blocked. Upon timely reporting it to the front desk (around 6pm), there was no technician available until the following day.
Day 2: We returned to our room to find out it was flooded. Upon going back to the front desk they told us that the sink could not be repaired. We were relocated to another room, which was a downgrade from the booking category we paid for (no other rooms available). Until today we have not received a reimbursement for this downgrade, despite a verbal agreement we had with the hotel manager. We have contacted customer service to solve this, to no avail.
Day 3: we were moved to a room in our original booking category where the air conditioning did not work properly. We did not bother to address this after all the hassle we had the previous days.

On top of that we had the same issues mentioned in the other reviews: no functioning TV and phone (every time by elevator to the front desk), poor internet, an old elevator that makes cracking sounds, housekeeping waking you up at 8am by knocking on your door, and a friendly yet clueless front desk (could not even give us restaurant recommendations), and a manager that at first refused to deal with us directly. Despite replies from the hotel on earlier reviews that they ‘will fix this promptly’, these issues still seem to exist 4 months later.

This hotel does have a lot of potential (good location and spacious rooms), however it is in dire need of better ownership, management and staff.

Great and neat room. Close to Central Station and the people from the front desk were very helpful all the time.

Hotel is currently being renovated, we had a newly updated room that was large (especially for NYC standards), the beds were comfortable. Can't speak to TV or phone as we never used them. Had minor issue with AC that was addressed shortly after mentioning to front desk. Great location to Grand Central for easy connections to other areas. Some days towels were well stocked, other days some were taken but not replaced. Great value!

The location is awesome. 3 minutes walk to Grand Central Terminal and so many attractions around. One young man at the front desk is so helpful and friendly. Thank you so much. I regret not to ask his name. The room is a bit old though.

In theory with free cancellation, in 10-15 days they return the money. We have been waiting for the return of 3000 euros for 5 months. They are thiefs.

Internet is not working and when it works it's super slow. The rooms are very big and comfortable. Aircondition works fine. The location is great, 5 min walk from the central station. Service is ok. Also, no coffee machine in the room.

Do not use this company! I booked and paid for a room at The Tuscany only to arrive because supposedly my booking was cancelled. I still haven’t received my refund!

Poor service and bad business. Don’t use them.
