The Wilson NYC reviews
18 We have come for dinner twice since we were staying at the hotel.
The day we asked for the chef's suggestion, which was pasta, it turns out that they tell us (after a while) that they do not have this pasta.
They also did not have ingredients from another of the meals we ordered, not even a simple sparkling water, nor asparagus for another of their dishes. The beers were hot.
This lack of products has happened to us both times we have come.
Okay so the rating is 5 stars but when i went back to this restaurant a second time, they had changed their menu and taking off the two best items on there; the Lobster bisque (which they replace with clam chowder and not as satisfying to me) and they took off the octopus. So sad
We hosted a 40-person dinner party in the Cellar. The staff and food was incredible. I could not ask for a better experience. Brittany worked with us from the beginning and was so delightful and supportive. We definitely will be back.
I never dined solo at a (nice) restaurant in my life. With the intent of enjoying a drink, a high class meal and luxurious atmosphere.
I walked by Wilson on the way to work one day and said let me try it out.
I walked in and sat at the bar. The bar tender was excellent. TONY. I enjoyed an old fashioned and ordered the steak which was cooked perfectly medium rare. I would return anytime.
We had the best time here. The atmosphere is chill and casual and they are very dog friendly. I chose this place because of that to be able to celebrate our pom, Sadie’s birthday.you’ll see some of that action in the photos.
As far as the human food goes, very good! I got the shaved veggie and kale salad with salmon and the brussels sprouts tacos. The Brussels sprouts tacos were very tasty highly recommend but also surprisingly filling. I got the salad and salmon for nutrients.
My boyfriend got the whole fish which tastes very nice. Along with calamari from the happy hour menu.
And for dessert we tried the blueberry cobbler with fior di latte gelato and the cookie skillet with salted caramel gelato. Both were excellent! It depends on your vibe and preferences. I’m a cookie and chocolate lover so you can guess my favorite
They have a few different spaces too. Their downstairs dining section is beautiful, they have an indoor bar, outdoor patio and the rose garden around the back. Every other Friday night I was told they host themed trivia in the downstairs section. I saw some folks playing the Harry Potter themed trivia when I was there and it was super cute and wholesome.
I would come back here when I want something casual, easy and chill.
Easy spot to eat while staying at the hotel. I had a burger with fries and it was very good. The cheesecake was amazing, like a carmel apple. The patio was nice and quiet as the music in the resturant was very loud. My issue was very slow service. It took 10 minutes to be greeted and offered a beverage and 15 minutes from point of order to receiving dessert. There were two managers that repeatedly passed me by and I could not get their attention as there was another guest who apparently warranted multiple visits and their time.
A stylish brunch place with great food and ambiance. The double patty burger was excellent. Design, atmosphere and layout were cool.
The chef’s choice of adding some blend of cacio e pepe spread or mayonnaise to a burger is not enjoyable and it just tastes weird.
The food is delicious and the restaurant is very cosy. The desserts are original and different and are very good. Also the suggestions of the day that we tried were great!
Came here for bottomless brunch before Barbie. Location was great and the atmosphere is bright and floral, perfect for brunch (also they allow dogs!) The brunch deal is also fantastic. You get an entree and bottomless for $45 (or $50 if you get the Passionfruit Mimosas). One of our guests was vegetarian and sensitive to eggs. Unfortunately you can't order from the starter menu but with the circumstances, the manager was kind enough to make an exception and we were very grateful. Definitely recommend this spot for brunch!
Don’t let the hype mislead you.
We were looking forward to the experience promised on the website and emails. No greetings as promised. One waiter didn’t know anything about the menu. Another’ took 23 minutes to come back and check on us after we got water. No water for our dog. It’s suppose to be a friendly place. She soup arrived after 30 minutes it was not hot / asked for no bacon on meal, ceme
With bacon. Had to wait to have it remake. My girlfriend ate her meal cold after she waited for my meal to be remade. Vibe non existent. Asked for bread, never came at all. Restaurant was not busy at all.
Not sure how they are in business. I don’t leave reviews but felt compelled to.
I don't want to go too long in order to reach the largest group of readers with this review.
We arrived by chance at the Meliá hotel for our honeymoon where we stayed for five nights, I am not one to write reviews but it is well born to be grateful and the truth is that the service deserves it.
If you travel to NY from Spain this is your place, the hotel does not lack detail, today it was raining and we had an umbrella in our room to go out, it may seem silly but it is an example so that you can see even the point of detail, For me the small details make the difference.
And what about the Wilson restaurant, with an exquisite decoration, excellent service and delicious food apart from SANA!
Pleasant memory I take to my land of my journey through the Americas, thanks to that, to the small details.
The bar in the lobby is a great, low-key place to meet a collègue for a drink.
But don’t go looking for the restroom on your own: the lobby staff will treat you like an intruder. One of the staff yelled down a hallway at me, “There’s nothing back there. Where are you going? ” Turned out that person was the manager.
A clever uniform and hip music doesn’t offset a lack of training in basic guest services.
I had a great guest experience at this hotel. At checkin Justin was extremely helpful and showed me a friendly face which was very refreshing.i had a pressing need for a adapter plug to charge my computer as I had a deadline last night. Denzel was on the front desk and he patiently sorted through his supply of plugs until he found one for me. I had been to three stores and could not find one. I could not have met my deadline without hi help. Denzel and Justin are a great front if house team in your hotel.thanks guy

The service was very nice. The place is cute. It has good options for vegetarians and not vegetarians. Also fancy unique stuff but also normal hamburgers and that sort of thing. Kids menu was super helpful for my daughter who liked more plain food. Overall cute and nice. I mean nothing blew me away but overall it was just fine.
Must commend the staff for a wonderful and smooth service. Thanks to Kevin! They were attentive to my dog and me the entire time. Food was honestly reliable and standard. Should’ve gotten chicken and waffles which is one of their staples. Atmosphere is good with more space inside. The patio was cozy and relaxing. My dog enjoyed the pup-sickle which was nice.
A gem for pet parents who want to enjoy a lovely meal outdoor & treat their pups with delicious doggy meals.
We took birdie for lunch and were treated so well — the staff were accommodating to my dietary restrictions, and most importantly, treated our Pomeranian Birdie like a princess!
We had an entire doggy menu to choose from, everything looked so good. We ordered steak and steamed veggies and pupscicle for Birdie and she LOVED every bite.
We rarely find restaurants that go above and beyond for the pups’ experience. Most places are like “No dogs” or shove us in the worst seats.
The human food was great too, the salmon was so well cooked and probably the best I’ve eaten out in nyc.
Outdoor there’s an adorable rose garden to enjoy cocktails in. Super instagrammable decor and comfy ambience.
We’ll be coming back.
Had a fantastic experience at The Wilson! I stayed at INNSiDE for work so it was wonderful and super convenient to have The Wilson right there whenever we wanted to get drinks or a quick bite to eat. Very reasonable prices for happy hour and their brunch (Lobster BLT pictured) was delicious as well. The rose garden was beautiful and always a vibe. Special shout out to The Wilson Marketing team and Regional Manager, Nancy Santiago, for their superb customer service! I had lost the receipts needed for business reimbursement after traveling back home and the Marketing team was super responsive/helpful on their instagram @eatatthewilson and Nancy was able to reprint and email them to me in the end! Thank you all! Will definitely be back the next time I'm in New York:)
