I have been going to this studio for a couple of months now and they have always been welcoming. The instructors are very nice and friendly, place is nice and clean.

I was actually willing to give this place another shot at possibly winning me over (the first time Carlos went incredibly fast, put on fast beat music, and never demonstrated any of the steps) this second time my dog just got incredibly sick today and I have to give him his IV fluids at a certain time because of this I could not make it to the yoga room and KIARA was real nasty and showed no empathy towards my situation. Even when I first messaged them about how awful of a class I had the first time they covered up for Carlos and said every instructor is different. I've had tons of yoga classes all over the world and most yoga instructors are spiritual, understanding, and very calming people- I mean that is the point of yoga after all? And yet the front desk staff are nasty, dismissive (KIARA) and instructors blast loud pop music in what's supposed to be a calming healing sauna room environment. Total contradiction. Will not return and will not recommend any of my friends here. Bad energy. Money hungry.

Best investment thus far! The Yoga Room brings me peace, understanding, and love. TYR has given me the opportunity to grow spiritually, mentally, and physically. It's a different type of workout for me. I was used to going to the gym, working out with weights, taking spin classes, and i practice breakdancing (which has many similar YOGA poses) I can't find the proper words to describe this place. I'd rather go to TYR to get a full body and soul workout. I get a little stressed going to the gym now LOL but ill still go because i need to be active and have a variety. There are various classes with different schedules, it's clean, quiet and has all that you need. I have recommended this place to all of my friends, 5 have joined and the rest have it on their To do list! I am so grateful and humbled by the practice but the facility plays a huge roll too. I took Yoga in a gym the other day and the experience was by far completely different. I def prefer to go to a place where they have Yoga, Pilates, and Barre (TYR) which all have many things in common. TYR has what you need if you are looking for the experiences i've had. The best part in the beginning was the opportunity to check it out for only $39 for 3 wks of unlimited classes. This way you can make an educated decision if TYR is right for you. I love this place! <3

I was back home in town for a few weeks and always love visiting the Yoga Room. On this particular visit I had accidentally booked the LIC rather than Astoria location and the staff was very accomdating and got me into an appropriate class with no hassle. Always love going back for a visit:)

This place has gotten a really good professional instructors. They have multiple classes daily throughout a week. They teach both hot and regular vinyasa yoga, as well as bar pilates and the like.

The cons:
1. Rather overpriced (especially for Astoria)
2. Always overcrowded (but it's a case with most good yoga spots).

I love the atmosphere of the place and bow inviting the staff is. The teacher was very understanding that it was my first time. I would do it again.

Classes are good but super pricey.
Also the rewards program sucks! You have to refer THREE friends to sign up to receive a water bottle. (unless it’s diamond water, you might as well mix the rewards program)

I LOVED barre class with Madeline yesterday. I have ClassPass and have been devout to barre at various Manhattan studios this past year- this was my first barre experience at TYR, and I have to say, it was one of my faves. I went home and searched the schedule for when Madeline teaches - in my mind, it would be worth purchasing a class package for. Can I vote for more of her barre classes on the schedule? Thank you!

I used to have body image issues but here I feel so comfortable in my own skin. I commute about 25 mins out of my way for this place. It is hands down my favorite studio in Queens.

Took a first time aerial yoga class with Monica. She was a great instructor. Made me feel comfortable and showed me the correct ways of doing certain poses without being over bearing. Will definitely be back. The yoga studio it’s self is very nice and clean.
