I forgot my bag in the car
I file the claim and do everything but never get in call or message regarding to my bag.poor customer service

Long story short, I was on a family vacation and was called the morning after picking up the rental car, telling me the vehicle needed to be brought in for maintenance and it was a mistake in the system. I said that was fine but can you come get it, as my family and I had a very busy schedule, in which they would not work with me at all to remedy the situation. I ended up coming in at 10pm, and they took the vehicle, accused me of cutting the GPS wires and refused me a vehicle. Refused the full refund I was entitled to and now left me stranded at the airport with all other rental companies closed for the evening. Tried to fight back for the refund I was entitled to and they said take it up with my credit card company, so I did. Now 6 months later I am still being chased after for money, after they ruined a good portion of my vacation, screamed at me when I went out of my way to bring the vehicle back on my vacation, and refused a refund to me. I will never be renting from thrifty again - or anything under Hertz.

I would give it zero but it won't let me. They scamed my husband out of $600. Never again. Do not book even with expedia or any other third party. There worthlessness and the people working for them too.

DO NOT USE THRIFTY,

Dirt bags bait and switch.beware of what you sign and check everything.they are trained to steal.

ZERO customer support.don't waste your time. I have to dispute there thieving charges with my CC provider.

I usually don't upload reviews but this is already the 3rd time that I'm giving them a chance hertz and thrifty are the worst companies in the world never rent from them especially not on this location

Like Avis they try Harder But to SCAM you! Very Hateful hertz Lady with full of Lies. Thanks for bringing 3rd world to US. Avoid.

This follow up from Jeremiah (owner) is more fake than Thrifty Car Rental. No Phone # No email!

My second worst experience in United States.
Here is story.
I rented car for 2 days. Car has been towed. My bad. I went to Brooklyn Tow Pound Facility, but there was ELECTRIC OUTAGE there. As it was Saturday, and at Sunday i had ticket back to home, i asked how we can resolve that situation. Brooklyn Pound officer record my name, took a picture, that i was there, took keys and reach out thrifty. Thrifty representative went to take my car after 2 (!) weeks, and all this time i called and explained situation to Thrifty 1 million times. They told okay, we understand it's not your fault, we will figure out. After all Thrifty charged me for 2200$ and stopped to take my calls.
Worst worst experience. Extremely disappointed in you guys. Hopefully somebody will take actions about this

UPD: I reached out Thrifty in facebook messenger after respond on that review, they responded very slow like 1 respond in couple days, in the end told that they cannot do anything because of 2017 year. No exceptions. Sad.

I rented a car on Friday, 1 Feb.only to find it smelled, was unwashed and had more than 10k miles on it. I went back to the rental desk at Macarthur airport and was given a Kia with 13K. I asked for an upgrade form a Corolla which they did not have to a Camry which they did (2). I was told no by the manager, Meghan (via telephone). It is impossible to understand her total lack of concern. Is this really the face it wants toproject to the public? As a result, I left terribly annoyed and disappointed.

The car, a Nissan Sentra drove poorly. The next day, Saturday, I called and was told by Carla, " Of course, you an come in and swap it out" The next day, Sunday, I drove out to the airport and was told by the clerk on duty, Alexandra (I think), that there were "no cars available" despite the ones that were visible on the lot. I would describe her attitude as indifferent to the point of rudeness.

I would say based on my experience, that the prevailing attitude was indifferent to the customer's wishes. If "customer service" was designed to satisfy the customer, then "customer service" does not exist within this company. Just check out the other reviews. If it is so easy to make a customer happy, why is this company indifferent and rude to the very people it needs to thrive?

How do I give zero star?

Thrifty robs people in broad daylight. They are adding $15 admin fee to $8.5 toll charge. They might as well open a bank and officially rob people.

The following is what it says verbatim on the bill I received in the mail, from Thrifty, for the toll charge.

"The toll amount plus a $15.00 administrative fee per toll has been assessed. As a customer courtesy, your Rental Agreement will only incur a maximum of six administrative fees. "

Robbing people a maximum of 6 admin fees per a rental is a courtesy according to Thrifty? You can't be serious. This will be my last time being the customer at Thrifty and will never be back again.
