The cute waitress we had here was so incredibly sweet and understanding of my food allergy. She was wonderful.

The food was great too.

My only gripe is that you can't make any reservations. Theyre available on "waitlist" but you can't be seated until your full party is there. My coworkers and I had planned to meet there and get a table but they wouldn't let us sit there because 6 of the 8 people were there. Eventually they let us. But I wish it wasn't such a hassle.

Anyway, I would definitely go back if the game staff was available ha! ️

This was lowkey the worst dim sum I’ve had in my life. I don’t know if it was because they were busy or they mainly cater to a white population. I don’t normally have many complaints about food but man, this was soooo blanddd. Even my boyfriend who shoots down leftover food like a dumpster couldnt finish the food we ordered. But yeah I think there’s better places for the same price and better quality.

1) got pushed away by the receptionist because we hesitated by a few second for joing the half hour long waitlist so she could take the next customer. Instead of communicating "I'll give you all moment, but I'll have to take in the next guest", she pushed me away without saying anything.
2) they don't allow outside beverages
3) recieved the wrong check from the wrong table several times throughout my past visits
4) Forgets part of the order
5) please go to flushing or chinatown for more authentic dim sum, the only thing keeping me from coming are the sweet buns.

Excellent dim sum. Smaller menu, but items are always fresh, quality is top notch, and service efficient. I love the noodles in particular and I’m not a noodle person at all. The shrimp dumplings, rice rolls, and turnip cake are other favorites. They turn around a take our order reasonably fast, too.

Been to Tim Ho Wan in Macau and HK. Had to try it to compare. Solid. Can't go wrong but one thing I noticed was the amount of MSG here. Seems like they used a little too much.

Same price, many more options with better quality to choose from in NYC. I would definitely go to my fav on 56th Street. More variety, better quality and much less MSG.

During our visit, two things were decent - bbq bun and sui mai - but pedestrian. Shrimp dumplings and others were, while having good texture, lacking in flavors. Overall we were disappointed relative to the 4+ rating.

The dim sum was just ok. Considering all of the reviews and hoops to get a table, we expected more, but the dumplings were over steamed, flavors were bland. It was also pricey for dim sum. Table service was excellent, but the Sunday hostess was extremely rude and hostile. If this restaurant wants to have one-time customers based on hype, it’s accomplished this goal. There’s a lot of choices in this city for better quality food, without the game of a long queue, no reservation option, and rude hospitality.

I really enjoy this place. Get there early on the weekends though, because it gets packed. The food comes out quickly. The baked pork buns are great. They seem to have switched the custard buns for french toast custard buns, which is sad. Lots of tea selection too.

In HK, this is a Michelin one star. Its always been a favorite place to go when near Union Square. Tried it with Uber eats. Not the same though was good. Must eat fresh and while its made to table to really enjoy it the way it was meant to be.

Join waitlist on Yelp before you head over. It will save you a lot of time… restaurant is clean, fast service, food is on point. Everything is freshly made. Warm and hot, which I love!

A dim sum place that perfectly executes a small, focused menu. It's an upscale experience and an authentic hong kong experience. However, I think the price is high. At the end of the day, it's still dim sum, and I feel like there's a large markup inserted into the price that isn't reflective of the ingredients that go in.

Great dim sum restaurant. They don’t do the traditional dim sum cart service. Instead, you just order from the picture menu after being seated at your table like a standard restaurant. The food is excellent. The wait can be a bit long on the weekends. It opens at 11am on Sunday and I got there at 11: 30am and there was already a 45-60 minute wait. You give your phone number to be placed on the waitlist which you can track via Yelp with updates on your place in line which is pretty convenient. I just walked around the neighborhood and grabbed on ice coffee during the wait which made for a relaxing Sunday morning.
Back to the food, again, it’s excellent and every dish is superb (the shrimp and pork shu mei is my favorite). The service is great and the waiters, waitresses, and support staff are all super friendly and made the whole experience top notch.
I highly recommend this place if you’re in the neighborhood or if you’re just generally on the hunt for good dim sum.

Love the BBQ pork buns. The outside is so much better than most other dim sum places; instead of bao/mantou bun it’s this flaky soft dough. The BBQ pork on the inside is flavorful and great too. The rest of the dim sum is good but more on par with other places.

If you are looking for dumplings in NYC, look no further. I first tried their food in Hong Kong and it's just as delicious today. The BBQ buns are just out of this world, soft yet crunchy, sweet and savory, I can eat it all day. We also had chicken and vegetables dumplings, both were high quality soft and fun to eat, everything was served hot and delicious. I will also mention the service, they kept filling our water even though we overstayed a bit and we're friendly and fast. Couldn't recommend it more!

We just walked by this place and it looked legit. And it was! Nothing too fancy about it, but all you need and super tasty plus great service as well. We especially liked the Siu Mai, panfried chicken dumplins w/ ginger, steamed rice roll w/ bbq pork but our FAVE that we ordered more of was the steamed veggie dumplings they were OTT! Go!

DimSum comes out hot, taste not bad for a place that mainly caters to younger people who studies in /likes the NYU surrounding restaurants and stores

Delicious dim sum. Menu is on the smaller side, but all the staples are on there. Food and service were high quality. Well priced.

A solid spot outside of Chinatown for all day dim sum. The prices are obviously more than they’d be in Chinatown, but they’re not bad. Tim Ho wan’s signature item is their pork buns that are slightly sweet on the outside

Missed 2 dishes in our take out order (but gave us one we didn't order). Like the chicken feet. Not impressed by the others.

I got super excited to learn there was Tim Ho Wan in NYC! I’ve missed this place ever since I visited HK in 2019. I had about 40 minutes before they closed so hopped in an Uber and got there with 30 minutes to spare and put in my order immediately with as much food as I could possible scoff in that time. Har Gao are my go-to order but unfortunately I didn’t get my shrimp steamed rice rolls because the noodle machine was broken. Anyways their baked bbq pork buns is the main reason I visit. Haven’t found any other dim sum places that do these quite the same. Perfection every time
