Tio Pepe reviews
17 Wet burrito used what tasted like chef boyardee ravioli sauce. I can't even be intimate with my girlfriend after this experience.
Atmosphere was nice and service was great, but food is pricey and far from authentic.
The service at this place is absolutely amazing! Claude took care of us and made sure that we had everything we needed. 10/10 recommend!
The place is beautiful, the service is excellent, the drinks are good but the food.the food is lacking flavor. We tried tacos, hamburgers, fries, calamari, and every single dish was missing something.
When the place was separated from burrito loco and ramblas, the flavors on each place were delicious. After the pandemic, they merged the 3 places, and obviously, the menu changed. It's disappointing
BUT, the place is nice and it's great for drinks and appetizers after work.
Wow this place went beyond what you would think tacos and a margarita should be had a great time catching up with friends and having something spicy
I have not been to Tio Pepes since 90's and I was excited to try it again, and boy was I disappointed,
Nice vibe, wonderful owner and dedicated staff. The food was delicious and the ambience was lively and delightful. Would definitely go back.
Food was decent. Margarita pitcher is a good deal for a group 3+. I was only snacking this time but I don’t mind trying the main dish here next time!
What a great spot! We stopped in for a quick drink but ending up staying way longer. The pitcher of frozen margaritas sold us, but the delicious guacamole made us stay! Friendly and attentive staff…any time we stirred our pitcher our smiling server came over before we knew it and insisted to pour our drinks.
Great service, good food, good atmosphere, staff very polite. Love the place. Good prices.
Always a great experience and get a take out marg.great for the price. Also, the greeter/owner man is amazing. He is so nice and inviting. I go there every time in in Manhattan.
Hey the frozen drinks.stay or to go
Amazing sangria pitcher for a great price. 3 girlfriends and I came here and got the sangria pitcher. We each had 4 glasses and it was $42, a great deal ($3.50 per glass!)
The staff was super friendly, we stayed a long time and chatted and weren’t rushed out. Servers also refilled our glasses, which was great because we would have spilled. Another staff member noticed our table was wobbly and immediately came over to put cardboard under the leg of the table.
Highly recommend for a happy hour our GNO. I didn’t go to the brunch but seems like a great deal!
The vibe as soon as you get inside is so welcoming! The drinks are on point (went with a piña colada). Definitely get the fish tacos, they are good oh, and the staff were so attentive.
Small establishment that has inside and outside dining. Great table service. Our food came fast and it was fresh and hot. We had the Molcahete Mix Bowl for two. It was delicious and we both where full. The Flan is delicious as well.
My friend and I stopped there for dinner. It was worst Mexican food we ever had. I didn’t think you can actually mess up tacos. My friend got paella that had very weird/old taste, and I ordered mushroom tacos. All I got was couple slices of mushrooms on broken tortillas. No additional toppings as listen on the menu. I couldn’t even pick up “the tacos”, all I ate was mushrooms. I couldn’t even ask what happened to my toppings bc our server never checked on us. We also got chips and guacamole for appetizer and they came up in 5 seconds meaning they don’t make them fresh to order. Margaritas tasted like cheap sour mix.
One star for nice staff. I’m not sure how this place has any good reviews. The food was subpar. I had steak fajita and the steak was very over cooked. The drinks were weak. And they add a 22% tip for a party of six or more when no one came to refill my water, not to mention two of the six people in the party were kids under seven.
I really enjoyed the brunch. Good portions and delicious food. The service was very good. I'd like to go back for dinner one day
Some of the sorriest tacos I've ever had. Burrito Loco was good a few years back. But this Tio Pepe-Burrito Loco restaurant mash-up has made this a place to avoid. Extremely overpriced with tiny servings. In agreement with another reviewer: no wonder why this place was empty.
