25Good tap list. Really really slow service, even during non-busy times. Excellent smoked salmon. Good soft pretzels. Some of the other pub fare was a bit greasy. It's the really slow and inattentive service (no matter if I'm there with family dressed casually or in a suit and tie). It is VERY convenient to wait for a Penn Station train there instead of at one of the crappy places inside the station, so I keep going back.
It's nice, but that's not a good thing. They should make it look like the old place, grimy and grungy.)
Just left Tra Na Nog. Good atmosphere. Food was good which is why the score is 3. Service was very poor. We were not seated at table, we were never asked for drinks, had to ask food waiter for water and to try and find wait staff for drinks. Wait staff upset when told tip was to be minimal. Heres a tip for hospitality staff in NY. If you want a tip, dont expect it, do some work and provide some service and you will get rewarded.
Elegant, upscale (for my experience of an Irish pub), but not super pricey. Great signature cocktails and the food was first rate. This neighborhood has a lot of tourist traps but not this place. The service was also excellent. I'll definitely be back.
Good sized portion of fish and chips. A little noisy around rush hour. Good service. A little pricey.
