Read through some of the "concerning" reviews of TLC but the positive reviews overwhelmed those negative ones & the negatives were largely subjective (such as perceived rudeness of staff).

Short story; I'm 1 week out from my LASIK procedure and couldn't be happier. My vision is better than 20/20 and I'm back to normal activities with just minimal "fuzziness" around points of light & no eye dryness or other issues.

As with just about any medical intervention, I was very concerned with the chances of side-effects and effectiveness. While I did my own research through medical literature, I also asked staff to address these concerns, what the screening process showed, and they were clear with the rationale of why I was a good candidate.

I was very much at ease with the decision, but there was still some anxiety about the actual procedure. Staff were very pleasant and assuring. They provided me with stress balls to hold while undergoing the procedure. But the procedure itself took no more than 10 minutes and I was able to read the clock on the far side of the room immediately afterward.

Not a single bad to say about TLD at all. My only feedback to the staff on my 1-week checkup was that the 3M tape they provided for the night-time sleep safety mask left a sticky residue & I recommended they use a different tape that might cut down on that, since you have to be careful cleaning around the eyes for that first week.

Great experience - the consultation was reassuring and the procedure was quick and painless. Fast recovery, no issues. Highly recommend!

Best experience ever! Can’t thank Dr. Speaker and team enough my only regret is that I didn’t do it 10 years ago. I’m not even a week out and I see better then I ever did.

Had the lasik procedure in the NYC office in the summer of 2022. Was told by the pre surgery team that i would see 20/20 the day after the surgery and reassured me that i will not need glasses again for many years to come. I was told that i would have a video consultation with Dr Speaker the day before the surgery. The Dr never called amd the presurgery consultant neber happened. I got to actually see who dr speaker was 10 seconds before the procedure while on the table. On surgery day it was like a production line. Patients in n out all day without any real personal care from the main dr. Day after surgery i could not see well at all! I couldnt wear my glasses bc now my perscription was different due to the eye structure modification. I spoke to the office staff, they said its normal, keep using the eye drops every 2 hours. A week went by, could not see. 2 weeks went by, still couldnt see. The frustration was building and the headaches n dizziness was getting worse. I Couldnt get out of bed. I went to my personal eye dr who said she didnt think i was a candidate for lasik based on previous eye history and that they should not have recommended me to do the procedure and rushed me a new pair of eye glasses with a new perscription. TLC said i have to give it 6 months bc the eye continues to heal up to 6 months. All things never told to u on consultation day. Months later, I revisited the nyc office and had to demand to see Dr Speaker (they kept giving me a less experienced dr). Finally got to be examined by dr speaker who said “this happens sometimes and that i will now need 2 additional procedures (one for each eye at seperate intervals). This was a bad experience for me. The procedure was a failure. I feel i didnt get the individual patient care, time and attention needed. If i did, mayb dr speaker wouldve done the procedure properly or at least tell me i wasnt a candidate. He is the talent in the office. I was told the procedure was not done correctly the first time. They got me to 1.8 but they shouldve gotten me under 1. Im very concerned about cutting the eyes multiple times. I still have a $3500 bill that i am paying off. I request either a full or partial reconsideration on the total amount still due (not a refund). I recieved an insulting email back from the “patient care manager” that they will take away $200/per eye which covers the warranty. Very insulting. This adds insult to injury. Literally. Ran rhis situation by a malpractice attorney who looked into the medical practice further and sees a pattern of this. Buyer beware…… To be continued….

Everyone here from the front desk to the doctors was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and kind. I mostly interacted with Stephanie at the front and she’s awesome. My recovery process has been pretty easy and painless so far. I’m very pleased with my results, thank you TLC!

I walked out of surgery seeing 20/20. From the initial exam to the surgery my experience was nothing less than perfect. Staff was polite, professional and informative. Dr Speaker was awesome, he let me know every thing that was happening as he did it I felt no pain, ever.
My only regret was waiting so long to do it

The staff at TLC are top quality. Dr. Speaker is extremely knowledgeable and took his time explaining everything. Billi and Stephanie are amazing at what they do. I will recommend TLC to anyone trying to correct their vision.

The doctors and staff at TLC are so professional and understanding. My vision is so important to me and TLC did the most to guide me through the process. Shout out to Stephanie who is so professional!

Y’all — let me tell you.

Lasik is like leveling up your character, but in real life.

I’ve been to THREE lasik places (yes — I did the consultations 3 times) and this by FAR was the best.

Let me break it down.

- the Dr there is FAN. TASTIC. He walked me through EVERY step of the way. Yes — it may seem too simple or too good to be true but IT IS.
- the staff IS SO FRIENDLY. As soon as you walk in, you’re greeted by this fantastic team that automatically make you feel like they’re your best friends
- Most of all — they have a LIFETIME promise that if you ever need a follow up on your Lasik — they’ll do it for free. (This is what got me).

Overall, I could not recommend this MORE. I’m going to share this with quite literally my entire network.

This place is awesome and so are the techs who are working here. Mona and Stephanie were hilarious and did a great job educating me and providing me with resources to make sure the preop and postop went smoothly. Dr Speaker also made sure to reach out postop. Would recommend going here especially if you have the QualSight discount!

Everyone at TLC was so kind and made the process really personable and easy (especially Stephanie!). My appointments were all really smooth, and I can’t believe I am 6 days out from my procedure and I’m able to see without lenses for the first time since elementary school! If you’re considering lasik I would definitely recommend doing it, and going to TLC!

Life changing. Stephanie who was my tech during the consultation was amazing! As we’re all the Dr’s I saw. All the exams and explanations put me at ease. And then the day of the procedure.everything was so smooth and easy. Dr.speaker was amazing and I’m still baffled by how this ten minute procedure has changed my life.
