Overhyped to the point they are taking 50 minutes to an hour to make on the weekend. Don’t come here unless you are prepared to wait for takeout. It’s take out only btw.

Stand in line; to go place. Not the best area. Expensive/overpriced for basically stuffed musubi's. Ordered the special with spicy fried chicken. Sort of soggy, not crispy. Very meh. The salmon avocado was very very disappointing. The rice was el dante or just under cooked. It's possible it was made much earlier and sat for a while which will also create the same hardish rice effect. Avocado was nice though. The salmon was like rehydrated dry salmon flakes compressed together. No one really liked it in the group we came with. The special matcha hot drinks were nice.
Don't recommend and won't be coming back. Younger crowd might be ok with it since it's trendy.
$57 for 3 sandwiches and 3 match drinks. Not including the tip.

The barista I had, Nene, was amazing. She gave me great suggestions and made my matcha so efficiently. Great atmosphere and all the workers were very kind.

Delciious onigirazu! Definitely worth the wait. The outpost is a humble setup with no settings inside. The onigirazu is made fresh so you will wait outside for 5-10 mins. Got the original fried chicken, karage with mayo. Will go back to try the other ones.

Started my morning breakfast here. Small location but they make the best of it. Friendly staff and patient while ordering. I ordered the Aloha spam onigirazu and the Japanese fried chicken. The taste was amazing full of flavors. Definitely worth the trip.

A bit overrated. I expected the onigiri to be bigger, like the pictures and reviews showed, instead i was faced with disappointment. Onigiri was small and flat. Barely any rice or protein. Overrated and overpriced. Barely any seats.

Pretty good matcha! Not too sure if I find it worth the 45 min wait for what it was, but nonetheless it was good! The salmon avocado- you gotta try it! Now that was amazing!

Me and a friend went here not too long ago because we were dying to try onigirazu for the first time and it did not disappoint, i ordered the tuna salad with egg and my friend ordered the karaage onigirazu, its a small little shop but they serve some good food, the service was good and food came quick despite there being a decent amount of people

Didn’t like it at all. The rice did not taste good. Maybe it was one of the bad days, but I didn’t like anything about it.

The rice did not taste good, and the rice was too wet for some reason. There are not enough of the chew and stickiness.

The salmon was too dry and got mashed too fine. Again, the rice should be the star here, but it is so bad.

I am glad they make it fresh, but it takes way too long just for packed rice wrapped in nori.

Food and tea we had was delicious. A few tables would help but the place is small. But we will be back anyway.

A very charming neighborhood restaurant, expect to wait a bit in line because it is a victim of its success.
But the wait once ordered is not long at all.
It's quite rare to find gems like that, the "sandwiches" are quite tasty, the food is fresh and you can feel it, the prices are affordable, the service is attentive. There is nothing wrong with eating there.
We have to fight to keep these restaurants that respect their customers alive in a world filled with fast food of all kinds.

Food is good. Definitely recommend the salmon avocado. I think that the size of the sandwiches makes it difficult to eat without it creating a mess. While I appreciate that each item is made to order the service is bad. I was initially told the wait would be 20-25 mins. I ended up waiting 50 mins to get my two items. They have to figure out a way to make the service and experience better for customers. I’m not sure how they could sustain customers if this is the route they take.

I tried the salmon avocado onigirazu and the hot hojicha latte. The hojicha had a strong, nutty, aromatic flavor and was around $6. The riceball was super messy to eat, but the salmon and avocado paired well together and was filling and fresh. The only issue was the surplus of wasabi, but it did taste authentic. Recommend!: 3

We went there early afternoon on a Thursday, hoping to beat the crowds we anticipate would be there from the TikTok posts about it. There was a small line that was even longer than it should be because some tourists (I hope)
took an obnoxiously long time ordering their food despite the fact that there was a line out the door and it’s cold out. Then you have to wait outside for about 15 mins until it’s ready. After all that, besides schlepping to the East Village for it (how is the East Village so far away from everything? It doesn’t even make sense), I was grumpy and ready to be underwhelmed. But it was warm and pretty tasty. We got the miso tuna avocado one. My daughter got a warm matcha. She said it was a perfectly fine matcha, nothing transcendent. IF you are in the neighborhood, the line is not atrocious and the weather not too awful, it’s worth it.

Delicious and fresh onigiri! Definitely recommend both of the fried chicken ones. Service was fast, one small table to eat at outside. Takes less than 10 min to get your onigiri and go. Will definitely be coming back to try their matcha!

Love their onigirazu! Highly recommend the karaage chicken with chilli garlic onigirazu. The place is small so be prepared to wait as they freshly prepare the sandwich!

Good, but definitely pre order as it is a long wait. They have outdoor seating only no indoor definitely food for take out

Good place to grab a quick bite. Not much space to sit. Large portions but slightly messy to eat.

I didn't get any of the food items, so I won't speak to that, but I did get the ceremonial grade matcha and it was pretty bitter. Place is cramped so you can't really hang out or eat in there.

For starters, why would you close at six? The food was good, but at six, really? This NYC, you can stay open later.
