Shocking customer service. While picking up my items, I wanted to checking them before leaving.

I was told I must leave and do it at home! Owner said that it looks bad for his business me checking my clothes after tailor did some alterations on my items while being in their store.

What? I can’t check work that they did on the spot? After I told him that I didn’t think it was inappropriate, he told me that he doesn’t want me as his client anymore.

Tommy is a sweetheart and he does all my regular dry-cleaning - coats, suits, etc - no problems for 10 years. He's sewn on buttons I lost and made little fixes free of charge. He's cash only and it's not going to be 24 hour turnaround, but that doesn't matter to me. Listen - Don't bring him your wedding dress. If you have a high end/specialty item, you take that somewhere appropriate.

Disappointed. Dress came back damaged, what really disappointed me was the reaction when I pointed out the damage. Got very defensive and blamed the dry cleaning process, blamed the dress, but took absolutely no responsibility and was rude. I know some things are out of their control but when an expensive piece is ruined a little bit of kindness goes along way. Also on a previous trip had some beautiful dresses butchered via their tailoring service. Theres a lack of attention to detail and sowing in a straight line doesn’t seem to be part of the service.
