Top Coat Nails 2, Hauppauge NY

I really wanted to give this salon a chance as I heard some mixed reviews but I will not be going back & would not recommend others to go here. I went in for a basic powder manicure. The women kept loosing control of the nail drill and hitting my skin. Then, when she was filing she took the small file and was filing the sides of my nails and all of my skin. It’s been 5 days now and my hands are still in burning pain, my cuticles keep bleeding, and my skin is peeling like crazy. Now the gel top coat is peeling off making the powder chip. I’m very upset with how this turned out but more upset that my nails are destroyed.

I really don’t like leaving bad reviews but people should not go to this place. It was the worst manicure I’ve ever gotten and a waste of money. The person doing my nails wasn’t looking at my nails while using the drill on them. He hit my bare nail with it once which made me jump because of the pain. After that, he over filed the sides of my nails so much that he cut the skin. This happened THREE TIMES and I told him each time to please stop because it hurt.

I asked for a brown chrome and they said ok. After he put the color on my nails he went to add the chrome and it made the nail silver. I explained I picked the color so it could be seen…. He said they couldn’t do that and I would need to leave with just the color, no chrome. I responded that I had chrome powder and would just fix it at home. Spent $60 (plus tip) and I needed to go home and finish the manicure myself.

I will say the salon is very clean and based on other reviews people really like them maybe I’m a one off but I’m actively embarrassed to have my hands look like this. I was there for powder and was told to pick a color from a clear box. I picked one and when it was my turn the tech told me because it was chrome it would need a dark base coat. Took about 5 tries to get the chrome on she kept taking it off putting on another clear coat and then starting over. This is how she left my hands, color all over, you can see the dents and it’s harder to see but there’s also black streaks across a few nails. But the part that makes me angry is they charged $70 dollars. 45 for powder and 10 for tips, fine. But 15 dollars for design!? ! If chrome was a design it should not have been in the box with all the powders and I should’ve been told that it counts as a design for extra cost.

Visited for the first time today. Jack was amazing and professional. My nails look perfect. The staff was very sweet and welcoming. Definitely my new go to nail salon.

Fantastic, spa like experience. Very clean and high quality products used. Fair pricing and cash discounts. Excellent selection of polish colors. Beautiful results any time I get a mani pedi here.

Brought my girl here recently and the staff here were very friendly and understanding. Her nails came out amazing and we'll be back again very soon for sure!

Nicole is THE BEST! I was referred to her by my coworker. She was sociable, funny and made sure that my nails were perfect. She also followed (and then some) my inspo pic! The staff makes you feel so welcome and gives you water bottles and has a snack cart. Highly recommend!

Got my nails done by tech Summer.
I had wanted to do this type of design on my nails for a while, and haven’t been able to find the right place to do them. Took a bit longer bc I was removing my previous set, which was understandable. I showed her a reference photo of the 3D chrome set I wanted to do, and she knocked it out the park! They came out so cool. Would go again for a cool design.

Do not fall for the FAKE 5 star reviews that the owners FORCE YOU TO WRITE as they stand over your shoulder and STARE AT YOUR PHONE UNTIL YOU WRITE ONE.
I initially gave a forced 5 star review and my first experience was fine. My second experience (today) was absolutely horrible. I went in to get a french manicure and they asked for a photo of my nails. This should have been the first red flag. After beginning to do my nails, the nail tech seemed frazzled and kept asking other techs how to do a french manicure. They had another tech take over for her. By the time I was done with my nails, I had 4 different nail techs working on my nails to try to accomplish the most basic and simple nail style. What I received was absolutely unacceptable. The bumps on every single nail, the uneven lines on the white tips, and the face that the white tips take up HALF of the nails. The owners did not care. I asked them to please take care of our situation so I didn’t have to write them a bad review. They refused to give my $50 back as they drove off in their brand new Range Rover. It’s honestly sickening to me. Like if you’re going to open up a second location, pay the extra money for competent nail techs and actually learn how to provide good customer service. People like this that only care about the money will see what it’s like for their business to fail. It’s only a matter of time. Thanks for ruining 2 hours of my day and time. I had to waste even more money to buy an acrylic nail filer to take the polish off these nails.

I’ve going to top coat nails for over a year, now they have their second location. The new store looks so nice and beautiful. I had summer to do my nails, come out so nice, love them so much. They always do a good job on my nails.

Not worth $100. Save your money and drive 10 minutes further to Smithtown for a better mani. The nail technician left dirt on my nails then caked over it with more top coat.no wonder the name of the salon. Don’t do it. Beautiful inside to cover up terrible job. Would give 0 stars.
