Tops Friendly Markets, Penn Yan NY

Just shopped there. It's disgusting that they take advantage of people because of lack of competition. Paid twice as much for most items, and in some cases 3x what would be charged in Wal-Mart or Wegmans. Never again.

They had what we needed, but the layout was bad. Easiest example is the beer. 3 isles, not in a row, plus random end caps. Prices were about what you'd expect with inflation.

They have a lottery machine scheme going after it eats your money, you complain and sign a paper saying what u lost and leave, csi and a Manager open the machine reset it use your credits then the next day tell u someone stole your credits ; if u complain enough they give u store credit or customer satisfaction cash.but it's known by the head manager who's doing it but won't check the cameras just gives away tops $.

You can get everything you expect from a grocery store
The prices are a bit on the high side, bit that is because you have no other choice for many miles around.
The setup is somewhat confusing in that certain types of items are not all together in one aisle.
A through reorganization would help a lot.
Completion in the area would help even more.
As the only game around you have to make the best of it or drive Twenty plus miles.

It's a hot day, so we went to Tops to order subs. Unfortunately, the delivery counter was filthy so we decided to go elsewhere. Very disappointing.

I was just in Tops in Penn Yan and 2 girls were at the serve counter without a mask and no one from the store asked to leave or offer a mask. I was there about 15 minutes and these women were there the whole time. Not good

Too much junk food_probably reflects the poor dietary habits of many Yates County residents.

Usually shop there because of location and a decent selection of products, however they need to give the deli employees an attitude adjustment and properly train them how to wear a face mask properly! It is suppose to cover not only their mouth, but nose as well. Then employees stand at the west door not socially distancing or wearing masks while they smoke and socialize.

This place has really bad service and so un organized this is my first time going into tops and will definitely will be my last 10 out of ten I definitely do not recommend coming here
We had a hard time with the self check out and spent a lot of time trying to figure out the machine while being watched by workers that wouldn’t help.

I try not to shop here do to their prices. Today was about the second time I used this store this month. Each time I use the self checkout. And each time the manager walks over says something to the worker and turns on a security camera. The kid asked if I put two salads in the bag. I said no and pointed for him to look. I hope tops security reviews the recording as i stepped out of the way so the camera recorded the 3 workers standing there. 07/12/20.12: 22pm. I m a local. I don't have to use this Tops. Not a fan of Tops. The prices are outrageously high. I only shop there when they have s good sale price on something I need

In the area lately & needed grocery items.the only good deal was the Turkey for. 49cents a lb.with a $30. Purchase! The produce selection looked good till a closer look, potatoes had alot of inedible spots.same with oranges.peppers.celery? Poor selection of plasticware. Shelves could have been better stocked as alot of the 'sale' items were missing? Prices are high here; even for a Tops
