Tops Friendly Markets reviews
15It's a Top's grocery store. Lots of variety and not as huge as a Wegmans. That's a plus for me.
They always have can't miss deals and lowest prices! I always some money going to Tops!
Aisles are always organized, easy to find what I'm looking for. The cashiers are nice as well. The bakery has decent fresh goodies too that are a must to browse.
Tops supermarket is the best in the area. I just wish they wouldn't keep running out of Vernors ginger ale.
One of the best grocery stores in the area. The fresh produce section is larger, and the fruits and vegetables are better than at our local Walmart. Unlike our Walmart, Tops seems to have a better supply chain in place. Other than canned cat food, I do not remember seeing any sold out items during my last visit. The only knock I have is it generally more expensive than Walmart or Aldi's.
Their deli's fish fry is AMAZING.staff was polite over the phone, also nice lady and explained other good things to get. Good job Tops Deli your awesome.
Today my boyfriend and I had the great idea of fish fry for lunch. I remembered Tops had always been recommended to me so we called and placed the order for two fish dinners. Staff was super polite on the phone, and also when we showed up to pick the order up our cashier was very friendly and made some good recommendations of other foods at the deli. The fish fry dinners themselves were immaculate. My boyfriend used the word "breathtaking"! Five stars all the way around! Great service, Amazing food!
Modern brightly lit store well laid out. It has a good deli and prepared foods section as well as a great bakery. The aisles are moderately wide and they have well stocked shelves with a wide selection of products.
Very nice store and I shop there often. While the interior is clean, the front lobby and cart storage area needs to swept and cleaned up. First impressions are everything and short of a total make-over/upgrade, the area inside the front doors needs to look cleaner. Consider cleaning the glass, sweeping the floor and even buffing the tile floor. The same mess has been there for over a year. Strange disregard for this unwelcoming area.
They do have the best donuts in the Seneca Falls/ Waterloo area. Also lower people traffic than with other nearby grocery options.
Store seemed clean and orderly. Well kept and easy to negotiate throughout the store. Prices seemed reasonable. First time I was here at this store. I did not get a chance to check out quality of veggies which in the past was a Tops downfall chain wide but not sure about this one. Well lit and carts wheels all worked well. Well done tops.
Not crowded, very clean, adequate friendly cashier's working registers, store well stocked.
Self-checkout fail. When we put a bag into the bagging area as instructed by the computer screen, the register decided we had done something wrong and locked up waiting for the attendant. The attendant couldn't clear the condition without a manager coming over. After trying at a different register and hitting the same problem, we left. When I've had trouble at other businesses (Target, Giant Food, and Home Depot, to name a few), the attendant has had the knowledge and the authority to fix the problem without involving a second person. This looks like poor management to me.
It's a tops. They've gotten really expensive through the years. Rarely shop at them anymore.
Just visited my local TOPS and found much of what I was looking for. Brought my own large, clean, nylon bags (several of them, just in case). Put my groceries on the conveyor belt in groups, putting like things together. The exception was the angel food cake, which I put FIRST so my cashier, Alyssa, could set aside and put on top of a heavier bag of groceries. Nope. Straight to the bottom of the first bag, loading groceries and other produce on top, crushing it. My husband was with me and saw the problem, so quickly pulled the bag aside and unbagged the cake. He took over the bagging of some groceries, but whatever she put in to bags was a mishmash of items, not caring what was being squished or damaged. Much of what she bagged we reshuffled once to the car.
Please, TOPS, train your cashiers to care and to bag items correctly, even if in someone else's bags!
