First visit today and I thought the store was great. The customer service was excellent and the dressing rooms were very nice. I appreciate that it offers women's clothing sizes 12 and up. The prices were reasonable and they had a great sale going on today too! I will definitely be back.

The staff is always very helpful and the selection of clothes is always interesting. The store itself is well kept and clean. I have bought several bras and dresses from here and they hold up amazingly. Highly recommend visiting here.

I have been a devout Torrid shopper for about 4 years now. It's the BEST place for curvy girls to shop. I can ALWAYS find clothes that fit me perfectly! And the service at the store is stellar. Always friendly and super helpful. They wait on you as well as any luxury store. I always leave there happy!

My wife went to the Poughkeepsie Mall to look for some items to add to her wardrobe. We originally started at Lane Bryant where we were promptly ignored by the ladies that were leaning on the cash wrap and that never spoke to us. Onward to Torrid where from the moment we entered we felt the difference in service. We were greeted by a friendly young lady that told us about the current sales and helped my wife find a few items she was particularly looking for. As we were shopping they had an overlap shift change where the first lady was taking a break and the evening closer was coming in. She was just as sunny and friendly, picking right up seamlessly where the first young lady had started. Wonderful, unpretentious service and great deals. Thank you ladies!

I took off the tags of one piece of clothing and wore it but later in the day found out it was to big for me! I was disappointed and wanted to return it for a smaller size, the women told me I could not return the item with no tags. I wish I knew this before I bought them. Unfortunately, Torrid is the only store around my area that has decent to say the most, plus size clothing. I hope one day they will be able to accept clothing without the tag on it even when you have the receipt and the tags separately. I am Very disappointed in the company’s return policy. Hopefully there will be better other plus size stores to come to the area with trendy clothing and better return polices.

The Middletown store was closed, so I went all the way to Poughkeepsie. I was not disappointed at all. Such a great, friendly staff!

The employees are friendly and helpful. The store is neat and clean. Torrid has mastered making plus size jeans, taking in to consider just being larger size is not enough, I feel like their jeans are custom to my shape. On the down side the material quality seems to have gotten cheaper and the prices have gotten higher. Must try on everything cant buy 2 pairs of the same jeans without trying them both on a sign of poor quality. I still shop there I just try everything on for fit and quality

Excellent source for cool clothing. I thought they offer only plus sizes but they have clothes for size 10 and up! Although their regular prices are high they always have fantastic sales for the budget conscious. Nice mix of casual, dressy, and work attire. Staff was friendly and helpful!

While this store can be very expensive, there are always sales and deals such as buy one get one free clearance. The staff are always friendly and helpful.

I’ve shopped here on numerous occasions spending considerable money on clothing and recommended it to many people. I opened a torrid credit card and used it once on a purchase over $200. A bill was received the in the mail and I called to pay over the phone. I asked the customer rep for the total amount due and she assured me that the over $200 was the TOTAL amount to pay on November 2nd (that day) After paying I told her to close my credit account since I was paid in full. Today I received a bill from torrid stating a late fee of $32.85 was assessed on November 1st which is prior to my calling to get the total amount due the next day. I called torrid to ask why I was given an incorrect total when I paid my bill over the phone. The rep there said “big mistake on their part but since the account was closed they can’t negate late fees. So even though I did the right thing by paying what they asked me to initially I get screwed to protect my credit score. My suggestion don’t buy at torrid they are a fraudulent company.
