Tottenville Pool reviews
15It’s a nice pace to go to during the summer. The only problem I have with this pool is the restrictions.
Terrible! The rules are ridiculous, the staff members and employees violate their own rules, the bathroom and locker room is dirty. It's like a jail. I'm surprised I wasn't cuffed and searches. This pool is absolutely terrible. This one time when I saw a kid playing with a duck in the pool, he was throwing it around and it landed on the ground outside of the pool. A pool staff member picked it up and gave it back to him despite the rules stating no toys are aloud in the pool.
Cleanest pool in all of Staten Island. Family friendly place and time sessions given for all to enjoy.
The water is very blue, very clean, the environment is very good, the staff is very good, and there are beautiful police officers checking the package there. In order to ensure that each of us has locks, or leave valuables at homeBath towels and keys, including wearing a swimsuit, or wearing a swimsuit to enter, there are staff members present.
Clean and nicely landscaped. Locker room is very minimal. Often too crowded to swim laps. They should set aside some room for that
This is the best city pool, especially on Staten Island. I'm not messing with the Bay Street pool, the staff are so ignorant and rude like we owe them something, my daughters love it and taught themselves how to swim at 3 years old, I would rather drive the 20 minutes than the 10 to go to this pool and I hope Ms. Mary is there this year, she's the best and they serve lunch for the kids which is an extra bonus! Can't wait to go tomorrow and start our summer out right!
Very rude staff. Too many restrictions (No cell phones near pool area, No bags allowed near pool area, no vests for young children) just to name a few.
I like this pool a lot, it's small and always clean but the new pool trail regulations have become a bummer this summer due to a life guard shortage so the pools are limited in time and basically on a first come first serve basis.
Great Place. Clean And Safe. Just Hate Waiting 30Minutes²Enter The Pool If U R Late. Don't Be Late. U Can't Bring Your Phone N But If U Get It Thru They Won't Say Anything Overall It's A Clean And Good Pool ⁴Families.
Small clean nice location. Off street parking. I still don't understand why cellphones aren't allowed while the people working here are allowed to have their phones on them! I hope I get an answer from parks
Pool is very clean and the nyc park staff are very polite but the life guards are are acting like traffic police officers. I swim only 30 to 45 minutes and I hear the whistles millions times. I don’t think the need life guard bcoz life guards are not guarding the lives instead whistling (and the depth only 3 1/2 feet). And they call out or only one life guards when it’s busy when it’s not busy there are lot of life guards for whisling.please change those life guards which government pay for nothing. AA YOU SLL SEE ISSUE JN THIS POOL IS LIFE GUARDS.they don’t come to work and pool is open only half for the community and I think all will agree for this.
You cant go in unless you are 100% going in the water. Waited 45 minutes to be sent away because I came to watch a family member.
Excellent Public Pool! Clean, well kept, friendly staff and rules in place to keep it at the upscale rating it deserves. Love the pool split for those who want to swim laps and exercise vs.those who just want to take dip. The greatest part is the seperate kiddie pool for the babies/toddlers.
This pool manager should be fired immediately. I am submitting an official complaint to the City.
Every weekend they have only one life guard and they close half the pool. There is a heat wave or not they don’t care. Today they were not letting additional people in because they reached limited capacity while half the pool is empty (closed) no lifeguard available.
Same story every weekend.
If the manager cannot get the pool ready for the weekend. He/she is not the right person for this job.
