Towne Housing Real Estate, Buffalo NY

Tried to view a property when first listed. Kept sending requests but no response. Filled out 16$ application and still no response. Voice-mail full and no one answers the phone. Sent an email to person, no response. Answered the phone yesterday and said place was rented. Could not explain to me why there was never a response from ANYONE! Last night got this email saying the property was rented and inviting me to check out their other properties. Why so you can not respond again? I have 2 weeks to move and no response!

Renting from Towne Housing Real Estate was a complete NIGHTMARE! In our lease it states that the landlord is responsible for water and tenants are responsible for all other utilities. In the middle of our lease we were contacted saying we would have to pay for water and a new lease will be written up and sent to us to sign but that never happened. They are now trying to withhold that money from our security deposit illegally since it was not our responsibility to pay for water.
We also had no clear information on who we should be contacting with any problems or concerns. We talked to half a dozen people about various things and were constantly being told to reach out to someone else.
Do yourself a favor and look for somewhere else to rent!

I have been looking for an apartment since June of this year. I found a really nice apartment complex in Springville Ny. I called Towne housing out of Buffalo about the apartment.
I spoke to Dee. The only thing I can say is she is amazing! Every question I asked she had an answer. She is very knowledgeable. She is quick to reply to all of my texts some early morning some late afternoon.
She is very nice and professional.
Towne Housing definitely has a very hard working, very knowledgeable, very good at what she does employee.
Dee.thank you so much for all of your time and hard work. I really appreciate all you have done and continue to do for me.
If I was an employer I would definitely hire you!

Transparency / responsiveness / professionalism - Towne has everything I need as an owner for managing my rental units. Happy I found them, especially during such a difficult pandemic time. Highly recommend!

Edit: They own too many properties and their poor maintence crew is stretched thin. This is how the owner talks to me. Only through public reviews. My request week 1 of my third month here was screen doors and window screens and too be able to open my windows I moved in may 8th and they didn’t inform me of so many details during my FaceTime walk through. I blindly trusted them and now nobody will come fix just windows

Jeremy was very responsive and genuine about a concern that I had, he helped me out with a situation that I couldn’t be more thankful for! He very passionate and dedicated to this company, would love to work with him and the company in the future. On top of that, I recommended Towne housing, they have really great homes and apartments to rent in a city near you!

The Towne Housing team is great! I feel very good in my decision to hire them to manage my properties. Jeremy and Libby are super responsive and Dee has been the best leasing agent I could ask for to find great tenants very quickly (sometimes already having someone lined up to rent before even listing it). Looking forward to continuing this relationship and would recommend anyone looking for a property manager to give them a call.

While looking for a apartment in Niagara Falls l could not have been more impressed by Pam and her professional attitude. While we ended up not finding a place to fit our needs but wasn't because of Pam's efforts. She took us around to every place that she thought would work for us. Her upbeat personality is something l won't forget.

I have been trying to get an apartment though this place for about a month now and I have had nothing but stress. Me and my little family have to move by September 1st. I have filled out all the stuff they needed and yet every time I call I need to provide something else. No one contacts me and I have to get ahold of them just to find out why nothing is happening. Now I'm out 30 something dollars and nothing to show for it. I am beyond stressed out and sick to my stomach. I need to move, Thanks for your response I have sent everything they have asked for. Now it's in your hands to assist me now. I will change my review once this is taken care of. Thank you

They are so helpful over there. They got me into my apartment really quickly, and presented me with a bunch of different options before I picked the right place.

I’m beyond FLABBERGASTED in Towne housing, this process has been HORRIFIC AND TRAUMATIC. I understand being out of office because you are sick. (We are in a pandemic) I understand being on vacation. Or XYZ EXCUSES I WAS GIVEN. I had to repeatedly tell the agent what was going on each time I would call! I would have to fake the dial pad to actually get someone if you press 1 it will hang up and send you a link of apartments that are no longer on The market if you get the lucky you might get the operator! I felt like my time was not valued! IF YOU DO REACH THEM CONGRATS BECAUSE THEY DO HAVE AFFORDABLE RENT AND DESCENT HOMES.

UPDATED EDIT: Company reached out, fixed any issues. Took a long time for some issues but perhaps asking persistently helped. They apologized for inconveniences and hopefully things will be better. Better communication is still needed.

PAST COMMENT: this company does not care about you. Their wealth is more important than your health. I have been waiting months for just some easy necessary items and I have yet to be taken care of. My online account was changed without being told resulting in LOSS OF MONEY. This company needs to fix their issues fast.

It doesn’t get better than Towne. The maintenance crew was always professional and prompt, communication was great! Even the owner called me to fix a problem. Thank you so much.

The Towne Team has been exceptionally great across all aspects from the very beginning and continue to do so. You’ve certainly came to the right place if you’re looking for reliable, professional and quality service. Would highly recommend, A+

I had to come back and edit my review! I DO NOT RECOMMEND TOWNE HOUSING! They have you PAY for an application just to not even consider you! Then their communication is TERRIBLE. Couldn’t barely get a hold of ANYONE for 2 months now. I had to constantly keep blowing them up and calling from different numbers. They won’t answer for me but will answer for the other numbers I call from! I mean this company is just terrible I can’t express it enough. I really can keep going on but I’ll leave the rest of my compliants to BBB!

This is the ABSOLUTE WORSE company to ever rent from. They are extremely rude. They don't know the slightest thing on how to communicate with people. They must have such sad and pathetic personal lives that they use their positions to act as if they were king for a day. And don't bother needing something fixed as it will automatically be your fault or the person in charge of handling it was fired or quit, whatever they feel like telling you that day. I have never been happier to move out in my life!
