Townline BBQ reviews
17So glad to find this place. Delicious food. Friendly staff. Fair prices. Will definitely be back!
Nice little bar and bbq/smokehouse. You can go here for a good cocktail, brisket, or both. We tried the brisket and while it wasn't the best I've ever had, it was pretty good. This place also sells its own beef jerky. They have bar games like a small pool table and darts. The parking lot fills up quickly however.
Fantastic food, nice staff, comfortable environment. We drove over an hour to get here but will definitely be back. It's worth the trip.
Best BBQ on the island. The Buffalo fries are a must try they are delicious. The brisket moist is always delicious too. Great beers on draft and cocktails. Can’t go wrong with town line
Some of the best BBQ on Long Island. We had the pulled brisket sandwich with cornbread along with lean brisket with caramelized carrots and Brussel sprouts with draft root beer … hahaha - O - can’t forget the wings! Sweet and Tangy is life’s gift to mankind! Troy is the man for suggesting this! Go, enjoy!
Went to Townline BBQ on a Saturday afternoon with about 22 people and 19 cars. The owner/manager came out personally to greet us and ensure we had parking. They originally blocked off their lot to ensure our classics were protected but we got there very late. Either way they ensured our cars were safe.
Now for the food. My lord everything was fantastic. Not one person in the group had a complaint and two weeks later they are still talking about it. I had the half rack of ribs, kids portion of brisket and greens. Everything was delicious. No, I could not finish it had to share the ribs with a few people.
My buddy had a pulled pork sandwich which he said was one of the best he ever had. This means a lot as he is never satisfied with the food.
Cannot wait to go back.
On our first visit this spring, I wanted to give them five stars just for their napkins (unlike the paper towels typical in Austin.) And the food matched. This time I found the ribs and pulled pork somewhat overdone and the coleslaw lacking. Had to wait to park the first time, with overflow cars parked along the road. This time, pulled right in.
Amazing ribs! We grabbed a half rack, some beans, cornbread, and pulled chicken then headed to the beach to eat around a fire. The ribs and spicy bbq stole the show! Next time we’ll get at least a full rack. This will be a new tradition whenever visiting Sag Harbor.
Townline BBQ - you should get some merch like T-shirt’s or long sleeves.
I love this place so much. It genuinely has the best wings and fries i have ever had. Great place to watch football and grab some food.
Been a while since I've been back. Food has improved and all the BBQ is very good. Rib rub is excellent. Still quite pricey. Seem to run out of things sometimes. Can be hot inside in summer.
Typical BBQ choices. Cozy farmstyle atmosphere. Self seating. Order at the front line and then go sit yourself and eat. The meat was great quality but I expected the BBQ sauce to be better.
Great BBQ Ribs and SMOKED CHICKEN
SPICEY PICKLES ARE GREAT ALONG WITH BAKED BEANS, coleslaw and super corn bread a must go when in hamptons
Truly a great place to eat. Very casual atmosphere, great food and cold drinks. I had a salad with pulled chicken and my buddy had the pulled pork. Both were excellent and next time I'm in town we will be back
Great food! Had a double cheeseburger here which was not on the menu! The burger was amazing. Burger was slightly smaller than expected but the double patty makes up for it! Size of a shake shack burger.
Today we took my daughter's friend and the rest of the family out to Montauk just to walk around. We do this a couple of times a year.
Montauk was having their music festival which was kind of awesome but unfortunately they had the giant rock wall closed so you couldn't walk around the lighthouse and get to that little secluded beach. On the way home obviously everybody was hungry so we have been wanting to go to town line barbecue forever.
The last time we went in there my son was about six or seven years old. He cried because they didn't have chicken tenders so we didn't get to stay and I've hated the boy ever since just kidding.
They have a full bar which was run by the greatest bartender. He takes pride in the drinks he makes and it was definitely evident in the margarita my wife had. I had a founders watermelon beer. I assure you this is not my typical type of beer but it was a hot day and I just wanted something lighter.
Now he eats like a man so I'm kind of happy.
We ordered the family meal which consists of a full rack of St Louis ribs a ton of smoke chicken and I swear a full cornbread.
Exactly how I like a little bit of a bite to them without falling off the bone. They are not soft but have a dry rub on them which is a little spicy but nothing even remotely over the top. There is barbecue sauce on the table but I enjoyed them the way they were. It did come with a side of beans that I think were the best beans I've ever eaten.
I didn't try the chicken because I was enjoying the ribs but the rest of the family said it was great.
We added a quarter of a pound of brisket and I love that they ask you if you want it dry wet or mixed. Dry means no fat wet means lots of fat. We got it wet because there's something about the fat that just adds so much flavor. My daughter's friend did not like it but I was proud of her for trying it lol.
We also added roasted cauliflower. I love the cauliflower but no one else really did.
As a surprise my daughter bought me banana pudding because she knows it's my absolute favorite. With huge chunks of banana and Course nilla wafers it had a great flavor.
On the way out Jillian even offered to show me the smoker. This thing is a monster smoker that rotates and is cooler than what I expected a smoker today. She was a delight to talk to and definitely somebody I will be looking for next time I go.
Everybody in the world knows this place but if you don't check them out next time you're coming back it's right on 27 and townline road in like bridgehampTon.
Very annoying that they said they were open till 9pm but at 840pm they said they were closed…
