Trader Joe's reviews
19One of my favorite places to shop.it is never to busy, always a place to park. The staff is super friendly and always willing to help. People might say the pricing is high but id much rather pay for convenience (for me) and the pleasure of shopping, then have someone rushing me around the store or not knowing where something is. I took some photos of the things i bought this time around. Im here at least once a week thats how much i like it. Just watch the dates on items and you’ll be fine. This Joes is on Staten Island and does not have the wine selection or hard liquor as some do but they do sell beer. As you know you never have to bag your own groceries, they do that for you. Staff was also wiping down the shopping carts when i got there disinfecting them.
Food quality, selection and prices are very good. Parking lot can get crazy, and the store can get pretty crowded at times. As a fan of light/medium roast coffee, I haven't found a coffee bean that I really like from TJ's. I keep trying different ones, and none are making me want to buy coffee beans here again. Will continue shopping here for certain items though.
Didn't know we had a Trader Joe's on Staten Island. Out for brunch with my GF and she wanted to go to Trader Joe's. I was skeptical about prices but pleasantly surprised with many sale items. Very good selection. Many items you wouldn't expect to find on SI are readily available here. When we walked in and saw how crowded the store was I was almost ready to leave. (I don't do well on lines.) But the store is heavily staffed: restocking shelves, shopping for I guess phone orders, and every checkout counter manned so no long lines! Will definitely make return visits to shop.
Trader Joe's is literally the best place for a vegan girl like myself. I like to produce especially and I can see they tried their best to restock the shelves which it turned out pretty organized. Also, they have meatless nuggets from the Impossible Whopper which I was excited to see. They are a pretty good store so I would highly recommend checking them out!
Crowded. No matter what time you go there it's crowded. But they always have plenty of cashiers and people walking around to help you if you need help. Lots of of new and unusual foodstuffs oh good
Great items, unique finds, especially all the pumpkin related foods out now! Love the pumpkin bagels and pancake mix!
Went again today for their unique foods, bought oranges, their honey yogurt, organic bread, salmon.
The staff is great.don't feel that bad spending a small fortune every time I walk in. 4 real tho.great idems to pick/buy from
Great prices, clean store and and awesome selection of food. It's my favorite place to grocery shop on the island. Also my go to place for coffee beans.
It's just like the very other one- they sell what they have, the dislike with this location is the people who shop here, like the lady who spilt the open container of fruit all of the floor and stood there and left it- told no one and then continued to step on it.
The full experience took less than 8 minutes given that the store was full to the gills! Fresh delicious food conscious about other people's diets!
Love this grocery store! They carry food items i love and can't get anywhere else. They're smaller, which makes it less tiresome to go down every aisle. The cashiers are quick and professional and the staff are very helpful when you can't find something. Very clean too.
They were a life saver early in the pandemic with the first hour reserved for elderly and disabled persons. They even swapped the carts at checkout for cleaning. Thank you so much for that!
The only downsides are that they'll run out of stock on popular items and will relocate items sometimes so i can't always run in, grab what i need, and checkout quickly. However, they have enough cashiers making checkout faster than larger stores.
Love This place. Many of my favorite items have shifted locations in the store, but the semi new layout makes a bit more sense, as long as you give yourself a Lil extra time to look. Some of my go-to's we're unavailable, like the coconut oil spray, but they had a bunch of new stuff to try. Holidays items, like advent calendars were already in stock. (End of October)
Although alot of people enjoy shopping at this healthy market, I find the prepared foods full of excess peppers, salt and very deeply fried, also overly pricy. However, the fresh produces are excellent so is the atmosphere, staffs and the cleanness of the store.
It's a nice place to fine things that you would not have found in other supermarkets and the cashier was really nice. Good service.
Litterally love this store so much the manager not sure what his name is but he Litterally helped me the whole time and was so nice to me and my boyfriend and recommend us everything that was new he even gave us a free pumpkin when we were leaving such a sweet heart all staff is nice
They need to either limit the capacity here or open more registers. Either way, if you're in any sort of rush, don't come here. It's an all day experience to shop here.
Excellent experience! The employees walk customers to the items they're looking for. The checkout clerk was very polite and helpful. He pointed out a shelf adjacent to the register where I could place my shopping bag while packing it.
The only place you can ALWAYS find @. 19 each. And they always have exclusive, interesting food products you can't get anywhere else. I used to LOVE their Turkish fig bars but they recently changed to a new vendor and the fig bars are no longer Turkish and no longer taste good (I had to return them, hence the one-star deduction).
I recently tried out their Peri-Peri sauce and my son loved it SO MUCH I had to go back for several more bottles. It has a complex heat and if you're a fan of siracha, you may want to give it a try.
It can get crowded at times. Go early than later because supply might be low later in evening.
Some of my other faves: chili-lime tortilla wraps, dark chocolate covered peanut butter cups (. 99), candied ginger, chili spiced dry mango slices, fresh baked pretzel bread roll (. 99)
Basically, TJoes is a more affordable version of Whole Foods!
It is a small store and can get very crowded. The staff is excellent. Decent parking spaces around the store. Staten Island needs a bigger TJs.
