Trail View State Park reviews
16Great place to walk your dogs, bring your mountain bike etc. There's areas with a few picnic tables, no grills. Easy trail to walk and our dogs loved it there. Plenty of parking and there's a station to lock your bicycle up too. FYI, if you're bringing kids, there weren't any bathroom facilities. If you need one there's a Stop & Shop one parking lot over.
Great clean place for mountain bikes as well as trail walkers. Cameras should be put up in the parking lot to catch the people who feed Feral cats
A new state park, since 2002 and VERY green -:). The narrow park, runs between 2 other state parks: Bethpage and Cold Spring Harbor. We parked at Woodbury Road lot, (it doesn't seem to have a bathroom) and walked white trail.
Love this place, sometimes I don't even get out of the car, I just go there park all the way in the back when I need to clear my head. It's not so much that is pretty because there's really no view to look at, but if peace is what you're aiming for, this is the place to go.
It's a small trail.there's nt enough things to do.just can do some walking. And there's 2 trails.after the first one, go down to the road and from there, another trail, which there we cn see the rail roads.
Trail View State Park is an wonderful and effective place to escape into nature. It's an easy trail with a surprising view. It's a relaxing weekend trip without the hassle of driving. You can make a comfortable camp. No need to reserve, so there are no crazy crowds. A popular sight near the trail is the panoramic viewpoint at a higher elevation where you can look across the entire wilderness park during sunset hours. It'll renew your energy, reinvigorate your spirit and refresh your soul.
Beautiful little trail. Only complaint would be that it doesn't wrap around but great for a quick hike.
Fun shred through to stillwell. Good little hills and light techy sections. Conditions are best when slightly damp. Hikers ease stay on hiking trails.
Loved this park.

We had a really good time on our hike here! The air was so fresh and the scenery is divine! I lost count of how many times hubby tripped over himself while looking around and admiring the beauty of nature. I guess that's what happens when you don't get to go out as much in the last year or two.
Awesome trails I kept heading north crossing over 2 roads and under railroad tracks took me an adventurous 2hours then I took the streets back or I would’ve been out 3 to 4 hours. This is one of my favorite riding trails now.
Really great hiking trail for all levels of hikers. I usually don't give 5 stars unless I go back to a place twice but since I'm coming back soon anyways it deserves 5.
Love these trails. I have been riding these trails for 20 plus years with my son. Now my youngest son is also enjoying it.
Very beautiful park but I recommend wearing long pants. There's a lot of brush alongside the trail that is difficult to avoid. This can be a concern with ticks. Always make sure to do a tick check even if wearing longer pants!
Ample parking and a few picnic tables in a shady spot. There is also a repair station with air and some tools. The main attraction is the trail. Actually, there are 2. A signpost points to the hiking and biking trails, which are separate. I was on the biking trail. It's single track in many places with lots of curves, so it is possible to "meet" another rider head on. Be careful, wear a helmet and make some noise on curves. There are a few moderate steep spots and lots of tree roots, ruts and rocks. All told an upper mild to moderate technical course. A mountain bike with at least a good front suspension is highly recommended. The park is part of the blue trail that extends south from here as well. Inside the park from the parking lot to its northern end and back was only about a mile and a half or so. I believe it continues north, but I couldn't see where it picked up once I reached Syosset Woodbury Rd. It's supposed to go into Stillwell Woods park. I need to explore a bit more to find where it picks up again. The trail is entirely through the woods under the trees, so it's not bad even on very sunny days.
