3Wow so many ticks, infested is an understatement. Unfortunately ruined what would have been a great walk
It's a pretty place that is wild and some of the stuff there has been abandoned, though take note there are ticks here there are signs for it beware of your dogs and only go prepared. We've had these deer tick with the Lyme disease for well over 30 years. They were brought here when the base was still active that's when the first warnings went out to people who were in service here but not us as a public. We weren't notified until about 15 to 20 years ago. Please be careful the ticks are still active even when there's snow on the ground!
It's a good first trail of the year. There is a good straightaway to let you dog run. Can you keep up with him?
