TRIBECA SOHO ANIMAL HOSPITAL = ABUSE OF KNOWLEDGE + GREEDINESS + LACK OF SYMPATHY

Oh my gosh. This place is the absolute worst. They are extremely greedy and will take advantage of you when you’re vulnerable. They don’t care for your pet, all they want is to make a quick buck.

I went in for a simple yearly check up. My very happy and loving cat apparently had EVERY problem in the book and “NEEDED” to have a million tests and treatments. I agreed to put her on medication for thyroid, which caused my cat to not eat for 3 DAYS. I called the doctor and she absolutely REFUSED to give her a new form of medication over the phone. I was forced to come in (which by the way, any appointment you make costs money), for the SAME testing they did the week prior.

They said she might be dehydrated from not eating and needed to test her. Which by the way, her little nose was very moist…she was obviously not dehydrated. They take any small health inconvenience, make you feel sad for your pet, and judge you when you say no.

They said she might have high blood pressure, so I got the test done, and the only way to get my results from the doctor was to make an appointment. They refuse to give you results over the phone. I initially made the appointment and then decided to cancel the appointment and find another vet.

When I called to cancel the appointment. They asked if my cat was still on the medication they prescribed to her. When I said no, they JUDGED me for stopping the medication that was making my cat sick. The lady at the desk then replied “appointment is canceled” and IMMEDIATELY hung up the phone afterwards without any goodbye.

Please find another vet if you don’t want to be taken advantage of.

Please find another vet if you don’t want to feel judged for not being able to afford every test in the book.

Please find another vet if you want proper and appropriate testing for your pet.

Please find another vet if you want to support a practice motivated by compassion rather than greed.

Please find another vet if you expect the gateway to the vet, i.e, the office staff, to exhibit common courtesy in communicating with you.

As always, great experience with TSAH taking care of my puppies! Very thorough in their assessment and testing, outlined treatment plan and options, provided resources, and taught me hands-on how to administer medication. Vet-tech was wealth of info and talked thorough the treatment and food options that are available for allergies. Left feeling well informed and prepared to carry out treatment at home Follow-up was timely in terms of test results and next steps.

Tribeca Soho Animal Hospital is a special place! Our 12 year old Australian Shepherd has been a ‘patient’ since she was 6 and Dr. Timnah Lee always takes the BEST care, so much attention. Recently we had a scare, and she was with us every step of the way! Thankful!

Always welcoming and friendly. My cat doesn’t like strangers but they do a great job of making him feel safe.

If I could give 6 stars for Dr. Abusada I would. She is the best. We love her, as does Teddy and his big sister who crossed over the rainbow bridge Honey.

My dog hates vets and will start shaking once he realized he's in a vet office. They did such a great job at caring for him that when he came back to the lobby, he didn't have the shakes like usual.

The ABSOLUTE highest praise! Amazing loving and patient staff. I was not rushed during the appointment. Everything I asked was noted, addressed and clearly answered. The appointment was on time to the minute. Email follow-up was super prompt and extremely professional. I honestly thought of changing to a Brooklyn vet after moving but I am beyond thrilled I didn’t. I highly recommend!

the doctors are terrific they take such good care of my little dog April and they are knowledgeable and extremely helpful and professional I highly recommend them they really know how to take care of animals you won't be disappointed

While the people are nice, my experience was not so nice. I brought my 19 year old blind and deaf chihuahua in because of a cough she occasionally gets because of a collapsed trachea she's had since she was born.

My dog had been here before, so they had her records and knew of her existing problem. My dog's cough was bad and she needed relief.the same cough syrup this vet gave her the year before. When I called to just get a prescription, they pulled the old "we can't unless we see her" bit. Really? It's a cough.

So i take her in.now the $50 cough medicine is going to cost me an additional $90 for the office visit. Doctor says "we need to take x-rays and blood work and all that jazz". I'm like "IT"S A COUGH. SAME COUGH SHE's had LAST YEAR and same cough she's had the previous 19 years.we just need cough medicine! "

Doctor says.it could be something else we don't know. Long story short (too late). $800 later, she comes back and tells me "it's a cough related to her trachea". REALLY SHERLOCK? You needed a medical degree for that?

I was so irate. $50 cough medicine cost me $850 dollars! What a rip off. I prefer a veterinarian who sees the whole picture and doesn't make you spend unnecessary money.

SO.you might say "what if it was something else.wouldn't you want to know? " NO! My dog is almost 20 years old.she's too old! Even if we discovered it was something else, she's too old to help. At 20 years old we should be making our dogs as comfortable as possible.not sedating them and giving them X-rays and taking their blood. WHAT EXACTLY WAS THE DOCTOR GOING TO DO IF IT TURNED OUT TO BE SOMETHING ELSE? NOTHING!

SO i email the doctor to let her know how furious I was being taken advantage of like that.and got no response.typical.

GO TO CHELSEA VETERINARIAN HOSPITAL INSTEAD. THEY NOT ONLY CARE ABOUT THEIR DOGS, THEY CARE ABOUT THE OWNERS TOO.

I cannot say enough about Tribeca animal! All their techs and doctors have been excellent and truly make me feel like they care about my cat, and my ability to care for her and like they enjoy their jobs!

Very friendly staff, felt very comfortable leaving my lil girl with them and they def eased her anxiety.
Dr Lee is very professional and very informative.
