Trinity Place reviews
20A restaurant to discover, all in a special atmosphere. The food is very good and the staff friendly.
We go there more for the place than for the cuisine, which is more European. We wanted to take a mixed board (charcuterie and cheese) but when we asked which cheeses were served (camembert, tome de Savoie.) only French cheeses, we threw in the towel. The Caesar salad was plentiful but not crazy. We had to wait for the wine, but the waitress kindly offered to let us taste the one we wanted first. It's rare enough to be stressed.
This is a place to go for the location and the atmosphere.
Nice place in financial district. Got busy for lunch at noon right after we got there and was quite loud considering it was a former bank vault. A little pricey for lunch with salads and such being in 25 dollar range. Good atmosphere. Great service. Had the Asian chicken salad which as sliced chicken breast katsu style, with a cabbage and carrot salad underneath. Dressing on side for me. It was tasty and basically was a gingery kind of coleslaw dressing when it came down to it. Was decent light fare for lunch and the chicken was nicely crispy.
The food here is absolutely delicious! We were served pretty quickly despite the busy hours. There aren’t way too many options, BUT the options they have are simply amazing. The menu can get pricey per person ($30-$50 depending on whether you buy an appetizer or not). I loved it and will definitely come back!
Wow, this little white-linen-tablecloth restaurant punches well above its weight! The ravioli was surprisingly good (I licked me plate clean with the buttered French bread). And how interesting is the 35-ton bank vault door and original brass chandelier! The prices seemed exceptionally good, considering the location.
The food was really good, a little on the pricier side for the quality & servings but not too expensive either. The atmosphere is beautiful! The place is a little hidden gem and reading all the history they have up is super nice. We got the clam chowder, salmon, and ravioli. All very tasty, the salmon was specifically outstanding. At night it seemed a little more focused on the bar, so service was a little slower for the dinning experience, but still great service considering there wasn’t much staff.
Can be done, does not have to be. The location is cool, but the food is very expensive and only mid-range.
Beautiful mystery restaurant in Wall Street area, Manhattan NYC. I love the entrance of the restaurant. The place set in a converted bank vault with original vault doors dating to 1904.
We had Duo of tartare's, Steak tartare, Salad, Pan Seared Atlantic Cod, dessert. They were delicious and the ambiance of the place made the night very interesting.
Trinity Place is one of the places where every time you come here you think they are great. Vibe, food, drinks and prices. 5 stars.
Very cool place with amazing food, the wagyu burgers were excellent and all the appetizers were great. Highly recommend if you go to the 9/11 museum.
Really cool spot. In a cellar right on Zuccotti Park. You can have a party in an old vault.
Definitely would return.
Loved the atmosphere, but the food was even better. It was kid friendly too. This was a hidden gem and I would def go again the next time I’m in NYC.
For serving European'ish cusine I expected bit more class. The service was good but couple weird etiquette mistakes like not bringing wine for tastin before pouring and not pouring wine in front of customer, so I'll never know if the wine I drank was the one I ordered. Also my wine glass was flawed with the stem being unstable and shaky which was weird.
And one weird thing was that we had to eat the appetizer and main course with the same cutlery. We had the cutlery set to 5 o'clock on the plate and the waiter took them off the plate and set them back on the table before taking away the appetizer plates. Of course if we just asked we would have gotten new cutlery but I taught it was selfevident that if the cutlery was set on the empty plate you take them away as well.
But with these minor flaws its still 5 stars for me. I think 4,5 is pretty accurate since the food is good, atmosphere and the theme of the restaurant are great. Coctails are relly good and all the price aren't very high.
This place offers great happy hour! You can enjoy your drink while you’re having your time even by yourself.
I had to opportunity to visit here for my birthday, and we had an overall spectacular experience! The duck leg risotto was incredible, and I had an excellent red wine recommended by our waiter Bryan who was amazing! Bryan was super friendly, cheerful, and congratulated me on my birthday which I appreciated! Lauren swapped out for Bryan at the end as our server, and she was equally awesome! She was friendly, helpful, and very sweet. I will definitely be coming back!
I only had the bar food, and it was great. The 4 rating on food is to be more objective. However, definitive 5's in service and atmosphere. Want a cocktail with friends in a place that looks like Gringots bingo!
The vibes are great! They didn’t have a vegan main option on the menu but the waiter was so awesome and was able to quickly recommend a modified soba noodle dish. It was tasty! The cocktails are very good and strong.
Tuesday, 4/25/23 was my second visit to Trinity Place but, unfortunately, it was a complete disappointment. We ordered the Wagyu burgers well-done. I guess they thought well-done applied to everything including the bun that was toasted so hard it seemed stale. The burger was so overcooked it was as dry as the bun; ketchup did not help as it was like trying to add flavor to a rock. The home fries were also rock hard with the added distaste of being burnt and very salty.
We never complained (maybe because we couldn't believe how bad the food was compared to our first visit) but, it was very hard to get any good service as they seemed to be short-handed due to a larger group seated in the adjacent dining room. Those times when we did grab staff's attention felt like they were somewhat annoyed and rushed.
I do not know why this experience was literally the antithesis of the one we enjoyed the first time (because the first time was actually excellent). It was a shocking shame because we know they are capable of doing better.
Our bartender (Shawn/Sean?) is so kind and attentive. Highly recommend this place for a happy hour.
The atmosphere was fun. The vault doors add a nice touch for the atmosphere. The service was good but not the best I have had. The food was good, but a little limited for my taste in options.
