The food is good at times, when its not over cooked. The service is not the best, they move really slow. To avoid a long line, go before 12 or the lunch rush.

Stopped in for a small meal, portion of Mac and cheese and sweet and spicy chicken wings. The wings were delicious. Love them

Great place to buy your food and eat at home.
Friendly staff, good Dominican food.
It's not conducive to sit down and enjoy your meal with friends.
If It's for a quick bite fine.

I found the personnel at tropical grill on Adam Clayton power boulevard to be courteous thoughtful and very professional.
The. Oxtails were wonderfully delicious.

Tropical Grill's food used to be very good. Something happened because the food does not taste the same from how very watery the chicken soup is to giving customers burnt chicken. The Roasted Pork was very dry, as well as, the rice and peas mixed together taste different as well - and not for the good. They need to bring back the original cooks. I will not spend another dime in this store again.

Prices have gone up but still one if the better options around. The one in 7the Ave is the best (just off W. 127th st)

Nasty vegetables filled with water rice hard and the chicken is chewy and has no flavor. They also gave me a half plate of food for $13 after I was told it was $11

My order came late, plus it wasn't complete, NO soda, NO nothing and when I called back they never answered the phone. I called back 15 times and they never answered. So they ROBBED ME FOR $10 BUCKS. THIEVES.

I work right next door, every time I go there the employees who, in addition to being super rude, talk rudely to you, are always talking to each other and don't pay attention today, for example, I told one of them to give me an order of X and X and Your answer is what you tell me, what do you want? It is assumed that his response must have been a large order or special lunch. Not to mention that to order a lunch you have to wait 20 minutes for what was mentioned before. My office takes up an entire floor and they lost those clients because of their terrible customer service. I'm never coming back! My wife and MIL used to go there until yesterday when staff crossed an unforgivable line against our 10 year old special needs child. Oldeat of 7 children and rhis was supposed to be a treat for him because their hot chocolate is ok and the baby needed to be changed (Tropical has a restroom. They have always over charged and argued with most customers, Their food is super salty and yesterday they let 4 waves of lines of people order and ignored us the entire time but then on top of that the old female behind the counter was cackling and kept picking on and bullying my 10 year old son who is clearly a boy and dressed as a boyis that a boy or a girl over and over while laughing at him and laughing harder at him being upset over it. He was upset all day and night by this cowardly bully b. None of the staff are worth a d and neither is the food.

The best in the area with good food, good presentation, cheap and very good, but you know, with good service 100

The lunch special here is for sure a favorite. Expect a long line during lunchtime but it will be worth it.
