Truffleist INC. reviews
10 I eagerly tried Truffleist's cheesesteaks after watching a video on TikTok and headed to Bryant Park for lunch.
The place was bustling, and the line, complete with a bouncer, was surprisingly long - a 30-minute wait just to order.
My excitement turned into disappointment as I tried the truffle cheesesteak with goat cheese and honey, along with cheese fries. The hefty price tag of $22 for the cheesesteak and $13 for the fries left me expecting something extraordinary. However, the experience fell short. The cheesesteak lacked sufficient seasoning, and the bread turned soggy quickly. The extra goat cheese and honey, for which there was an additional charge, didn't justify the cost. The cheese fries left much to be desired, with a peculiar aftertaste hinting at the use of OLD OIL.
In the end, the overall experience was underwhelming, and I regretted choosing Truffleist over other options nearby.
Save your time and money - this one isn't worth the hype.
So we went to their pop-up at Bryant Park and I have to say that the way they managed the crowd in front of their food stand was incredible. People ordered and had their food within 10 to 15 minutes. Now on to the cheesesteak, the cheese steak itself was cooked. The bread was soft and held the sandwich very well. The bechamel sauce that they had on top of the sandwich had a lot of flavor and there was plenty of it. My only gripe with this sandwich was they need to season the meat more heavily. Overall, it's still a solid sandwich and easily could be split by two people if you're trying to eat more than just the sandwich.
Paid $45 for this very mid cheesesteak. They skimped on the truffle shaves and meat were underseasoned. Bread was good tho. I think they were very inconsistent which is so disappointing given how much we waited and paid for this thing
Really delicious truffle cheesesteak, but a bit too expensive. Had it at Bryant park idk if their prices inflated
Wow, wow, wow!
Just went to their pop-up location at Bryant Park, and I have died and gone to truffle heaven!
Be ready to live, eat, and die with any of their dishes!
Cannot wait to go back before the 3rd! Cause there are tons of other dishes I need to try!
Don't walk, freaking run!
Got my fist cheese steak in bryant park $36 was not good at all. Did not even eat half of it. After the 45 min wait just to order was very disgusted. Do not recommend
Met them at the Christmas Markets at Union Station. What a fun group of shroom lovers:) I tasted and love their truffle salt, truffle sauce, truffle oil and truffle fondue, and bought them all for holiday gifts for my favorite people (including myself… cooking for my family)! Will definitely be ordering again. Thank you and Merry Christmas!
I visited today at the Bryant’s park winter village, and for the first time in two years, was able to get the burger truffle. It was really expensive for a sandwich, however it was very delicious. The cook said they are so expensive because of the mushrooms. These are only exported from Italy and Spain, and they grow underground.
Got it during lunch in Bryant Park. $27 for a cheesesteak and fries. Overall, it was just okay.for all the money I spend I'm slightly disappointed. Would not go back. You don't really taste the truffle oil. Im not sure what all the hype was about. $18 for a cheese steak and $8 for curly fries.
I order the truffleist cheesesteak, was really good all the ingredients are the most top choice, the price little high but they have differents dishes, they have a spot in Bryant Park for Christmas
