U-Haul Neighborhood Dealer, Queens NY

I had requested, and was confirmed for, a pick-up location in Maspeth when I made the reservation two months prior to pick-up. I received a call from someone who apparently worked at this location two days prior to my reservation date. There was no mention made of any sort of location change, and on the day that I was scheduled to pick up the truck the location in Maspeth is still what showed up on my U-Haul account. I was not notified that the pick-up location had been changed to a totally different one in a different neighborhood 15 minutes away. Apparently, the one I had selected and that had been confirmed had closed a few months prior and U-Haul never updated their system, let alone notified me of this at any point in time until my friend had been waiting at the pick-up location in Maspeth for over an hour.

Very convenient location in Maspeth Queens. Remotely friendly. Staff is very friendly and professional.

The owners aren't there on some days and don't pick up the phone. Had 5 renters sitting on the sidewalk calling uhaul for hours because all the available trucks were blocked in by unavailable trucks. I also lost an item in the uhaul and have been calling them for three days straight with no response.
DO NOT USE THIS UHAUL if you value your time!

Edit: Reps seem pretty helpful (found my item) when they do answer the phone though, so i guess just avoid on days their main store is closed.

Absolutely 5 stars. Picked up my van on a Saturday morning, and I was in and out of the U-Haul dealership in 15 minutes tops! Jacob is the best. He explained everything to me, and I was in and out. Dropped off the van with no issues. Absolutely recommend and shout out to Jacob for great customer service!
