Uncle Giuseppe's Marketplace reviews
27Small and dirty store that advertises itself as a grocery, but is only a glorified meat market and overcrowded deli. Unless you want to spend double price for easily available products, best to avoid this place entirely.
The Smithtown store is a pleasure. The staff (from the women who answer the phones to the servers at the deli counter to the chefs to the managers) are amazing —- courteous, helpful, professional. I had a special order late on Thursday night. Gary assisted with patience, competence and good humor. On Friday, I had to change it. Rob was reassuring and accommodating. That night, my order was ready and waiting and perfectly executed. Thank you to all!
The meat department has some very nice cuts of beef, pork and veal. The frozen chicken pot pie and the shepherds pie were well worth the price of admission. The produce is very fresh and well tended. Keep away from the desert isle. It's overwhelming. Enjoy.
It's like walking into a store in the old neighborhood in Brooklyn. The cheeses, meats, veggies, olives, fruits, pastries, and finally the aromas. Home again.
Nice store. You can pick up some unique items. Regular items might be cheaper at other supermarkets. You just need to shop around. Coffee section smells great
Great little grocery store. Have a great selection for a small place. The meat selection here makes it hard not to want to buy everything.
This is my go-to for Italian specialty food. Great grab-and-go options as well as great produce. My family loves the dried hot sausage.
Service was horrible asked 2 employees if they had regular sausage rings and they said no meanwhile the item was 2 feet away from him
Everything there is fresh & delicious! The special senior hours are great to get in & out quickly. The fresh mozzarella was not out yet one morning - one very nice man went in the back & brought me out several - he went out of his way for a customer. Very nice!
This particular store was disappointing compared to the others I've been to smithtown, port jefferson, hauppauge are a cultural experiance to italy and and feels like I've been to italy every time i go but this store is small and doesn't have the amount of produce and italian flair of the others
Good supermarket. Great options but definitely smaller and less impressive than one of the larger Uncle Guiseppes.
Never had any negative experience in with any area of this market: a) deli counter (b) fresh breads (c) catering (d) any produce or (f) fresh meats! Recommend this place CONSTANTLY!
My timing was off to get a nice hot mozzarella, but what they had on offer was good and the staff mostly helpful
Awesome market. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for and it's always money well spent. Fresh mozzerela is worth every penny.
Our wonderful little Neighborhood Market. Always good food. Always fresh and tasty food as well. Their meats are wonderful. It's my only go to place for any kind of meat.
They sometimes send coupons in the mail. It's a decent size market. Parking is limited in the front but there's a back parking lot too. They have a great variety of Italian goods. Nice deli selection too.
Handicap accessibility is decent. Not hard to maneuver around if in a wheelchair.
This place is dirty and disgusting.literally the produce department is the worst part of the store.everything is either moldy, expired or dying on the shelf.i actually got disgusted when the guy prepping the lettuce was coughing all over it and not covering his mouth.this place is very overly priced when u can get the same items in a different store for way cheaper.the store manager james is very rude to customers too.i will not be shopping here in the future.
Expensive very crowded store. Deli is good but lines can be horrible. Very hard to get weekly shopping done. Much better for specialty items.
Love their prepared foods, deli and meats. Lost a star because the store is not really handicap friendly.
