Under Pressure Coffee reviews
16 The large mocha was 60% filled.
Otherwise, the place is really modern looking and the workers are great.
Just got my delivery and the coffees and food are amazing finally a place that is not afraid to put the correct amount of espresso! Delicious!
UP is our favorite neighborhood coffee shop. I am fussy about my coffee and it is always just right! We also love the spinach pie and my granddaughter says the cookies are excellent.
Another reason this is a favorite spot is the staff is warm and friendly.
Great coffee and delicious pastries. Also plenty of seating to catch up with a friend or do a bit of work and read a book. Well priced. Atmosphere has a bit of a fun buzz too it.
Was looking forward to this place because my friend recommended it to me. I got there, placed my order. The two people behind me got their order right away, while I was still waiting. In fact, literally everyone was gone and I was finally asked what I’m waiting for, what do you know, they “lost” my order. I don’t know if it’s discrimination since I was the only person of color and the entire customer population was not but it was ridiculous. I told them I got an iced matcha latte and a hot coffee with milk and sugar. What did I get? A cup of milk with a splash of matcha and a black hot coffee with NO sugar OR milk. After asking for milk and sugar, the barista proceeds to only put a splash of milk and hands it to me. If you are charging around $10 for 2 drinks, I would expect them to at least be well made. This entire experience was disappointing and just ruined my day. Will not be coming back OR recommending to anyone. AVOID
We ordered a cappuccino, a spinach pie and a cheese pie. The coffee is excellent and the taste of the pies reminds me of pies in Greece. Highly recommended!
I usually really like this cafe but when I order on DoorDash they ALWAYS forget to include a straw with any drinks ordered. It happens every single time. This is super frustrating because sometimes I order a smoothie to take to work with me but without a straw I can’t drink it!
It was okay. I ordered a hot chocolate but it tasted very off. My husband got a flat white and said it was better than Starbucks but not exceptional. They don’t have pour over coffee. Just lattes and matcha latte. The carrot cake was delicious but they put it in a bag and the whole frosting came off and stuck to the bag. The peanut butter cookie has too much flour and not enough peanut butter. Just peanuts. The Nutella croissant was good but mostly because Nutella is good anyway. The atmosphere is stuffy and not much space. I went for studying but they play Afrobeat summer rap music and everyone is talking loudly and right next to you so it’s not recommended for sitting inside or studying if you don’t enjoy that. Prices are kinda okay if you don’t consider quality. 3d cookie, 5d tiny carrot cake, 6d croissant with Nutella. Drinks were about 5d reasonable price and total spent was about 22. All in all 4/10 in my opinion and I won’t be a repeat customer.
The Frozen Chocolate was great and the employees are very kind and get your order out very fast
Great coffee space and also good bfast bites. A bit higher on the price side, but it's worth it if in your budget. Very friendly staff, very clean and usually very busy. Loved the Egg & Cheese croissant.
Under Pressure is a great neighborhood cafe! We stopped by and got a hot matcha, and frozen hot chocolate. The drinks were delicious and I was blown away by how clean and cozy the interior was. Amazing customer service. We'll definitely be back! Thank you!
My favorite coffee spot in Astoria! I can always count on Under Pressure for great quality coffee and food. Highly recommend ordering the chocolate croissant. Great atmosphere and friendly staff!
Modern and with baked goods that I think are probably some of the best from a coffee shop that we’ve tried in Astoria (behind Elevenses, Little Flower). Wish they had a no laptop policy indoors as there’s very limited seating and little turnover. Outdoor area is nice with several tables, but even the chain smokers can’t keep the bees away.
Totally agree with the other person on here complaining about the new spinach and cheese pies. I absolutely love this place and here 3-4 times a week.but they went from having the biggest "baddest" meanest spinach pies to basically.basic ones. 4 stars on the food because of this. 5 starts all around for everything else.only reason I'm writing a review after coming here so much is, my favorite spinach and cheese pies of all time are gone.
Purchased their Too Good To Go suprise bag a couple of days ago. It was my first time shopping at the cafe. For $5, I got a muffin, a croissant, etc. I also bought a chocolate mousse cake. They were all very tasty.
