Under The Bridge reviews
16I could go to a 3.5. We’ve been a couple of times because it’s easy to get a table and the vibe is cool to be “under the bridge” but nothing about the experience is like “I can’t wait to come back. ” It’s not authentic Greek.more like American Greek. Everything is a bit average, including the service because with outside seating, I think wait staff needs to pay even more attention because there’s no way to flag someone and that was a problem both times. Lunch combos aside, food is slightly overpriced ($41 for lamb steak.) The octopus and appetizers are good. Cocktails are decent!
This is a decent neighborhood Greek restaurant, not a destination restaurant. In two visits within a month I had the octopus, lamb chops, calamari and mixed spreads. All nicely flavored. Octopus was particularly good. Lamb overcooked to order, but still flavorful. Calamari was so so. I would have preferred a smaller portion but better quality. Potatoes served with lamb not as crisp as they could have been. When this place first opened it was regularly packed and overflowing and also had better food. Perhaps it has changed hands. There is a lot of competition in the city for Greek / Med restaurants, so I hope it picks up its game. I ate at Pylos a couple of nights before my last visit to UTB, and no comparison to that Michelin star standout, but for a local joint it is an OK choice for a simple meal. Nice staff and service.
Such a good restaurant! I had a great time there and the staff were incredibly kind and generous. We even got a cake on the house at the end of the meal. The atmosphere and decor is beautiful and the food is delicious. Vegetarian and gluten free options are available.
This place was horrible. Rats and roaches everywhere. The stuff was very mean and food was so not fresh to the point that it was disgusting
Gross meatballs I could not eat. Octopus was good. Service is amateur. Prices high for inedible food.
Completely average restaurant, the food was not bad but also not the one that we will return to have.

It was clear that not a Greek chef made the dishes, the dishes lacked the Mediterranean herbs and the olive oil that must be plentiful in every Greek dish.
My usual test dish in a Greek restaurant is the octopus salad, the dish was served to us dry, and not god enough.
As a conclusion, there are much better Greek restaurants in New York.
Good options for outdoor seating. Delicious specials, octopus is fantastic. Generous portions, good service.
You must try out the food here and the service is one of the best. They have a great menu selection and the prices are reasonable.
Excellent Greek Food. Excellent Service. We ate outside under the heaters during these COVID times. Their plastic shelter was very comfortable considering we just had a snow storm. The Calamari is light and superb. The Greek sausage appetizer was home made and delicious. The baked eggplant with beef is a delicious entree.
I had a great souvlaki platter here, really fresh tasting, which is how Mediterranean food should be, i do think the music was too loud but great food.
My fav spot for quality Greek food.came here on a saturday.prices are decent for the quality.food is like a restaurant in jacksonville i loved.
Food was ok. Nothing special but expensive and less quantity for the price. I had chicken souvlaki
Nice to have a well run restaurant in the neighborhood which serves well prepared Greek cuisine. One negative is the excessive noise when the place is busy.
Solid greek food. The roasted eggplant and the grill lamb chops were great. I could do without the thinly sliced fried potatoes. I'd prefer the wedges that are served with more traditional meals.
Understated. What a surprise! A friend and I were just undecided about where to go and standing on the corner, decided to try some small plates and if we didn't like it we'd go on to another place. This restaurant was very welcoming and cozy. Service was prompt, pleasant and gracious. It turned out that we had a wonderful time catching up. Everything we ordered from the whipped feta app to the grilled octopus and the Greek salad, and more.all amazing! We absolutely loved this place and will return. Thank you!
