Union Plaza Care Center, Queens NY

Union care is the best. Having a sick parent is not easy but Union care made the process of rehab care so much better. There are many people at Union Care that have made this process easier. Ms Alana Murphy, Ms Nyo, Dr Jay and Andrew. Union care and these individuals made us feel like family and they care for my father. If you can get your parent to Union Care, you will be in great hands.

The staff was very professional and even though the beginning of my visit was a bit awkward, overall the experience went p pretty well.

All staffs on 3rd floor are nice and helpful, especially the head of nurse Stella, she is sweet, professional and responsible, Stella and her team takes good care of my mom.

Union Plaza has saved my dad from going into hospice. The hospital had discharged him to home hospice without clearing his medical conditions, i.e. Bedsores, UTI, 90% loss of swallowing food. He was left dying at home. After putting in the peg tube, we had him sent to Union Plaza. After 2 months of staying at Union Plaza, my dad is back live again. God has extended his life at Union Plaza. We cannot thank Union Plaza enough for saving my dad. All the staffs, i.e. Nurses, doctors, nutritionists, occupation therapists, speed therapists, admins, securities, are so wonderful to keep residents and residents' families happy and healthy.

Special thanks to the care giver Siebert who takes good care of my bedridden brother. Her kind work ethic and empathy provided soothing effect to my brother. Ms. Siebert, our family appreciates your kind heart very much!

Union Plaza is an excellent nursing home. The environment is clean and quiet. The staff is caring. They provide patients with professional skilled nursing services. Thanks for nurses, doctors, physical therapists and social workers for caring my father. I went to some nursing homes. It is best one.

I came here for rehab after my hip surgery, and I was just thinking about getting better ASAP (I was in a lot of pain and irritable at that time). I ended up staying here for 4 weeks, and it was a time of refreshing. I was on the second floor, and the moment the staff met me, they were extremely friendly. They greeted me with open arms and great smiles. Because of this first positive response on their part, my response started changing day by day. On my worst day, out of nowhere, someone from the recreation department comes into my room and starts cheering me up. My expression of gloom soon was filled with thankfulness, much appreciation with joy, and laughter. My only complaint is the breakfast. The lunch and dinners were great, but they need to work on the breakfast more Heh heh. I'm going to be discharged in a few hours, and as I told the staff members before, "I never thought I would ever take a vacation in rehab, but that's what it was for me. " Sigh. I just want to encourage all the staff members to keep up the good work and treat all the residents the way you treated me. I will really miss you all. Thank you.

Great job organizing the Thanksgiving Brunch. The take home tests that I take at home then show approved scan code makes visiting my grandma a lot easier. And the fast registration of face recognition is a fast process.

Excellent staff members. Respect, kindness, support to the family members. My father is a resident since four years ago after stroke. He gets good care in Union Plaza.

My mom just admitted to Union. Our first expression is a friendly environment to begin. Will continue observe during her staying.
