United States Postal Service, Yonkers NY

The postal worker staffing the counter today couldn't have been nicer and more efficient. He was so warm and welcoming to my child that we were actually caught off guard, as it's not what we have come to expect from our regular PO.

Horrible horrible workers. There are only 2 people at the counter working and the line is always long. The woman at the counter, she was light skinned either Hispanic or Black and she had glasses and she was young, very disgusting attitude and very rude. She threw my package in the bin without scanning it and refused to give me a receipt because she said I have to wait in line for the receipt when I already waited in line. Absolutely despicable service.

As.as.customer service they are understaffed but friendly everytime! No lie! Even when I tell them there is something I'm waiting for they have never not gone to look again.

Passport renewal was pretty simple, and they were able to take my pictures there as well, so I was able to get everything done in one day.

While a few seem pretty nice, the customer service at this place is usually pretty horrid. I can imagine the stress working here, but it’s super off putting getting an attitude right off the bat, even from the higher ups.

Along with that, it’s rare you’re not standing on an incredibly long line because they’ve got one person working the window; handling both money orders and everything else alone.

This place also typically ignores any hold mail requests; claiming that everything has to go out. Plus, how can I forget seeing two of their staff having a screaming match right outside the building.

I don’t know, this is definitely the worst post office I’ve been to, and hands down the worst in Yonkers, period. Which is disappointing being in an ever growing downtown location.

I sent a certified envelope to Yonkers onJuly 10, the receiver never got it, the tracking history says the envelope was returned to the post office because the address was incomplete and they needed to verify. After that, there is no history of going out for delivery but until now nobody knows where is my envelope. I opened a case last week and someone called me saying that they received the notification and that they will work in it. Until now nothing.the receiver has been in the post office three times and nobody helps her.
It is embarrassing that place have people that are getting a salary and do not even want to do anything and do not care about the service people deserve.

There’s always a long wait at this post office. It doesn’t matter if there are two people or five people in front of me.

COA form couldn’t be verified. Went here to try to get it sorted, as the form kept saying my address was not a real address, even though mail has come there for over a year and I have the address on my license. The clerk sent me to the office to ask for information. The office was incredibly unhelpful and went to get a supervisor who was apparently in a “meeting”. They gave me a phone number to call but the phone number had a full mailbox. They said there was no one else I could speak to.
