United States Postal Service, Elmont NY

Wanted to pick up my pkg at the post office instead of my home. Ive done this in the past. I show up here and the woman says “we cant do that. Theres only two people here” clearly you have the means to help you just didnt want to help. I just left before i got upset. So sad when employees are just there and not actually concerned about client needs.

This post office will get no star. I have reported them about hatred racism. The staffs there racist, I went on line same time as other black customers, and the girl told me she will help other customer first, when we got line same time. And I was just there to pick up and they were mailing stuff out which takes longer. Even the manager was rude and racist, supported her employee and asked me to leave. This post office definitely need to get investigate, this behavior and unprofessionalism is unacceptable.

Horrible post office. Should be open at 9am, door open at 9: 07am, a window opened at 9: 20am.

Surprising a pleasant experience. All thanks to the woman with blonde hair and pink nails for amazing customer service. She was informative & quick! She deserves a raise. Thanks for making my experience a good one!

The staff there are very nasty and rude. Especially the short woman manager with the strong cigarette smoke looking face. We went in there to ship out an international package two weeks prior. It was sent back to us as undeliverable due to the contents which we declared at the time of shipping (perfume). This is knowledge that the postal worker who assisted us through the transaction should have known if the contents of this package could have been shipped or not. So when we went back this evening to get a refund she said “didn’t I tell you that they may not get it” umm no ma’am you did not because we would’ve never spent the money to ship it if we knew there was a possibility that they would not receive it.

Instead of taking that as a teachable moment for herself to educate customers when shipping and to also educate herself about being aware of what can be shipped internationally she got nasty and then the manager followed up being nasty as well.

It’s not the first rude encounter had at this location. They are all old, nasty and bitter women. If you don’t like to serve the public don’t get a job as a public servant!

My last visit was horrible. When a gentleman ask the clerk to ask for help she reply the post office don’t pay her enough to move fast. I so miss our old clerks. These new once are a disgrace to United state postal.

If you are expecting a post office to open at 9am, don't. You'll find a line of people waiting to get in banging on the door every morning. This location is poorly managed, and no one there seems to care. Rude employees. Rude management. When they finally do open the doors they seem so unprepared. Zero stars.

It's true that parking is difficult here, but I've generally found the staff to be very helpful and I can get my stuff sent. Great place.
