UR Medicine Dermatology – College Town, Rochester NY

Impossible to make appointment. Scheduler never calls back. You have to keep calling and bothering them. I waited for 4 months for an appointment then I was told to reschedule to se a specialist EVEN WHEN THEY KNEW WHAT I WAS COMING IN FOR! It’s been over a month and I still do not have appointment! I see a lot of doctors and never have a problem like this anywhere else. Rochester just seems to have bad Dermatologists. Don’t even blame this on COVID because it’s been a nightmare for years, with every single one of them that I have seen. Good thing this isn’t my cardiologist because I would be dead.

No one wants to do their job-Never answer's the phone and when they do gives you the run around with attitude/Charge way to much for hour wait and 10mn answer of Nonthing (and this is a part of Strong).

I wish I had read these reviews before today. I’ve been trying for two months to get an appointment. I’ve had issues with the phone disconnecting multiple times. Also no one EVER returns calls when they say a scheduler will get back to you. Finally an operator put a message through to the scheduling office who messaged me on MyChart but, despite the urgency of my medical issue and the two month ordeal I’ve experienced trying to get an appointment, she offered no apology and couldn’t (or wouldn’t) do anything to try to get me in sooner than December (another 4 months away). Ridiculous! A total waste of time and an extremely frustrating experience.

Called for an appointment and was told that they could not schedule an appointment but someone who could would call me within 48 hours. Been 4 days without a call back. I’m going somewhere else where they actually care about the patient!

I've called this office over 6 times in the past couple months to try and get an appointment set up. You wait on hold for at least ten minutes each time. Then usually when you do have someone answer, they aren't very helpful.

I had waited the alotted 7-9 business days for my referral to get sent over twice that my doctor faxed over to get processed, which is a long time to wait. And they don't call you back, and when they do it's hard to get anything done, because they don't have access to the schedule. Poor business procedures.

I tried scheduling an appointment for my daughter almost every day for a month. They have some sort of answering service in place that can’t access the schedule, so they always say that someone has to call me back. We Finally got in touch and while scheduling an appointment I got hung up on.
I called back and was told that it was not an in person like I was originally told, I accepted and was told the appointment was gone and it would be another month and a half before she could be seen.
Doctors should be informed that this place is so busy that they can’t see urgent referral patients for almost 2 months.terrible waste of time.

The office building was easy to navigate from my home in Corning, NY, a 2 hour drive. Lots of parking. A great juice and smoothie yoga bar in the same building. Very few people out or in the office waiting to be seen. The office staff and doctor. Etcetera professionals but also very nice and friendly. I was checked in quickly and only waited about 10 minutes before being called in by the physician assistant. The assistant and doctor performed a thorough examination and assessment while answering all my questions and concerns. They even took a biopsy for further analysis of my skin condition. They gave me information on how to take care of my skin condition and also a prescription for an anti itch medicine and steroid cream. I was very pleased with the visit and results. I have been in treatment for one day and my skin already looks better and I am not inching. I have a 2 month follow up appointment already scheduled. I plan to continue with the doctor and recommend her and U of R dermatologists group. I had already seen a dermatologist and multiple doctors for over 2 years trying to solve my skin issue with no change and multiple diagnosis. Now I am doing better in only 1 day!

I recently visited for the first for a check-up. Many of the doctors and nurses I encountered were cordial and attentive. Unfortunately, the receptionist and the nurse performing Covid-19 checks were rather terse. And because that nurse was late, several patients had to wait to check-in for their appointments.

I am so thankful for this group! Dr. Richardson and the resident doctor's have been nothing short of amazing. I was seen very quickly after a referral from my local provider. I travel almost 3 hours to go here. Worth the drive. I never feel rushed and they answer my questions. Talking to me not watching the computer! I wish all of my specialists were here

Absolutely terrible experience trying to set up an appointment. Called multiple times to set up an appointment and each time was told I was going to get a callback.never got a callback. I have a history with dealing with cancer so I have to be proactive, this office 100% does not care about you or your healthcare. They are an embarrassment for URMC, and no matter how new the office looks the service and care is straight garbage!

Same experience as other reviewers. Failed to call me back three different times. Finally had to call the head M. D. 's administrative phone no.to get a call back for an appointment. I was dealing with a skin cancer issue.

I've been going to Dr. Weinstein for about a year for cosmetic procedures she does fantastic work I absolutely love going to her however I called to schedule an appointment today and the receptionist was not only extremely rude she didn't even ask my name or who I was calling to set an appointment with just kept repeating the office isn't taking an appointment you can call back in April or be put on a list to be called. There are several doctors here that do an array of procedures I find it strange she had no desire to see who it was I was calling to schedule and appointment with or for what. I could have had a referral from another doctor and been calling to schedule appointment about a serious medical condition. I am a huge fan of Dr. Weinstein but doubt I will go back because of this.

Be prepared to wait or about an hour after scheduled appointment time. I brought my elderly father here to get skin cancer removed. We waited for over an hour before he was brought in. A week later he needed his stitches removed and he had to wait an hour before he was brought in for that. Everything else was great. I just get very frustrated with waiting for a scheduled appointment.

Been going here for years. Great service, I’ve had my share of troubles but they’ve never failed me. I have severe eczema that seems like it can’t be helped but they’re always on top of their game and if some medication or cream doesn’t work, on to the next one. I was at a point where I wanted to give up searching for something to help me get 100% clear skin, but yes it’s been frustrating, but they have never given up on my case.
