UR Medicine Eastman Dental, Rochester NY

If I could give this a 0 I would. Every time I come to emergency dental here they are rude and treat people like they are nothing. They make people wait hours on end with excruciating tooth pain. When your name gets called you then go downstairs and wait another HOUR to be seen. This place is trash.

The office is nice. However, a lot of the paperwork is redundant! There needs to be a better way to enter data and avoid the needless amount of repeated information gathered. The dentist I spoke with was nice and genuinely seemed to care about what we wanted to know. You will have to pay for parking and the it is difficult to find because of renovation.

I went there for emergancy few times cuz had no other choice I have horrible dental anxiety and got talked into seeing the dentist upstairs. I was suppouse to get a root canal done in July well they had to cancel because receptionist never gave me the info about the nitrous rules.well been on a waiting list since the dentist tried talking me out of using nitrous I told him im already terrified I just want it done the way I want cuz im super nervous well still nothing called all the time kept saying were booked.now my tooth broke even more pretty sure its gonna need to be pulled and im in alot of pain.oh and im not waiting in the urgent care part for them to say I need antibiotics and come back in a week the abcess I have just keeps coming back cuz the tooth needs to be pulled.

HORRRIBLEEEE. Everything. Customer service sucks. Most people are rude there. The wait time is FOREVER LONG for anything. And you seriously can’t even make a dentist appt, you have to call to see when they have an available appointment within the next three days and somehow manage to fit whatever day or time they have into your schedule. Which doesn’t work when you have 3 kids and no one to watch them. Literally the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard. This place used to be so much better when I was a kid, now it’s just completely unorganized and they just seem lazy there.

Worst experience of my life! The doctors had no idea, what was going on. The nurses are laughing at you. I needed the pain in the mouth to go away, the doctor didn’t believe that I had pain and laughed in my face.never ever going back! If you have an emergency just wait for you regular dentist. These place can’t help you.honestly sad and very disappointed.

Coming here was the best thing I could have done and i was lucky enough to get Dr. Gagnon. Not only did she make my smile something I'm happy with again but she was so patient with me whenever I was nervous about the procedures. If you ever have the opportunity to get work done by her I strongly recommend it.

DONT LISTEN TO THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS - kindness starts with kindness given. You never know what a person is going through.

This review is for the woman nurse I wish I got her name she had super curly hair, & glasses I believe. When she did my X-ray, prep, and initial set up in the chair before the doctor worked on me she was absolutely amazing.

I have anxiety, I am bipolar, and I have depression. Anxiety gets especially tough for me in a dentist office I’ve had some serious issues before. I am a recovering addict and have been through so much.

THIS WOMAN WENT ABOVE ANE BEYOND TO BE kind, PERSONAL, and RELATABLE people I’ve ever had an interaction with.

NOT ONCE DID I HAVE A PANIC ATTACK, fear or nervousness. Something about this woman was so calming.
I hope she sees this - and I would suggest this place to anyone I need of emergency dental services. People in the waiting room can get grumpy and really rude because there is a long wait sometimes but don’t let that deter you. They are great

This was HORRABLE SERVICE! The person I was working with left they never informed me, I came to my appointment to someone totally different telling me what to do not asking me just demanding.something that I didn't want she tried to MAKE me do it. I told her that's not what I want to do she told me I need to find another dentist after 9 months of coming back in forth and it's not that easy with the insurance I have, but it will be MY PLESSURE! I hate I have to start all over. Two Thumbs Down!

Very disappointed, after waiting almost 2 hours to be seen they call me to the back and the doctor, I’m not sure what her name was she was a Puerto Rican lady told me that she would not do my root canal because the insurance company wouldn’t approve a root canal on number 19th tooth. I explain to her that I was referred by my dentist Who already told me that I could get a root canal on that tooth they just didn’t do it at my dentist. After going back-and-forth with her for a good five minutes I finally just said forget it and walked out. Also her receptionist a black skinny lady gave the same attitude as the doctor. She kept saying why don’t you go somewhere else and get a different opinion. That is the most unprofessional place I have ever been to and I will never return there. The Dr.and her receptionist should be fired they should never turn down a patient she didn’t even try to put the request in to see if it would get approved. After leaving there I went right over to Wilson dental and they sent the request in and my insurance approved the root canal on that tooth. The doctor at Wilson dental told me to report what happened at Eastman Dental because no provider should ever turn down a patient.

Very dissatisfied with the urgent care. I walked up to be seen, due to severe pain which if you’re coming here I’m sure you’re in the same boat as I was and would not have wanted to be treated the way I was. I was waiting and the only person standing there when the man at the front desk proceeded to do whatever he was doing on his phone before calling me to speak to me. During this time he had his music blaring with very derogatory lyrics and I had to say what or huh 3-4 times before him Turing down this music. Then was very rudely told I need to check in upstairs before I was even supposed to be down here, which there are no indications that This was what I was supposed to do, so as a new patient I had no clue. I myself work in customer service and would never treat a patient nor customer rudely for not knowing what needs to be done. I completely left and will never return again.

Arrived 9am and was patched up before 10: 30.
The Dr and assistant both were absolutely amazing. Everyone was!

I been here since 11: 45 and I am still waiting to get called just for the lady to come and say that they will not be calling anybody until 2 that all the staff are going to lunch. That's a whole hour from now and that is ridiculous. I have no choice but to wait and I am in extreme pain. Do not come here to urgent care if you need an emergency extraction you will be waiting for hours. It's like the staff doesn't give a dam.

Wilson dental left me with roots of 2 infected teeth that they supposedly extracted! It caused another healthy tooth next to them to get infected and crack. I went to Eastman thinking oh god they are gonna screw me (cuz the reviews I had seen on here). But they were absolutely amazing! I was seen within an hr. Dentist told me about the infection and how because Wilson left the roots this infected the tooth and she offered to give me antibiotics or pull instead. I said take it it’s no saving it. So she took it and the roots Wilson left. She sent my pain meds to pharmacy and told me I’m lucky I came in it could have been a lot worse! Mind u when I came in my jaw was super swollen. They were awesome respectful and they do not leave doors open when doing dental surgeries! So do not listen to these impatient patients! It’s first come first serve. I would go there for any dental emergency! Love u Eastman u literally saved me because my dentist couldn’t see me for another 3 weeks. Thank u thank u thank u all! Staff is awesome

Worst Ever. Not even Real Dentists. This is the kind of Dental care I would expect in a third world Country.

My daughter was about 1& 1/2 - 2 and scared to get a cleaning. The girl working on her was extremely inpatient with her and rude. She knows she works for pediatric so she should be familiar with toddlers. She did nothing to help the situation and we ended up leaving after waiting about 2 hrs to be seen. (yes we had an appointment) Also when you call to make a appointment it literally takes months to get in. Thank God we have better dental insurance now.

I came in today for a possible abscess on my second to last bottom wisdom tooth on the right and It turns out it was a big cavity. They removed the tooth right there, I mean the wait was a little excessive but worth it in the end. Thank you to everyone there who helped me feel a bit better.
