UR Medicine – Pediatric Behavioral Health & Wellness, Rochester NY

If I could give this service a zero I would. After the phone session regarding my daughter, we received a letter on MY CHART stating that “ I am unable to provide services to your child at this time”. There was no health care provider listed at the end of the letter, no reason given, wanted us to work with our Pediatrician regarding psychiatric medications. Strong is so proud of their Pediatric Behavioral Health services yet they make it impossible to get in. Looking on line for a Psychiatrist in Rochester, the majority of the ones who are “ taking new patients” are through URMC. They should add, “ good luck getting an appointment. Last time we waited 6 months to get in even after I told them my daughter was having suicidal thoughts. URMC spends all their money on the medical side of health care yet puts little effort into their mental health care.

Been calling for days and no one will answer or help. I actually called at 445 today because I work all day and the lady put me on hold then hung up on me. I called back n she answered and hung up 3 more times. Horrible and disgusting she should be fired.
