UR Medicine Urgent Care – Hornell reviews
7 Took myself and my son to this urgent care because we've both been very sick high fevers and sore throats coughs ect.
They didn't do anything at all except look at me and say oh you probably have the flu. They ran a strep test on my son left for 10 minutes and came back told me it was negative and he probably also had the flu and to stop and get some cold and flu. Now it's the next night and they call me to tell me his results are now positive and he has strep? After they told me yesterday he did not. When I asked why they told me different yesterday the lady on the phone got all weird quickly said shed send his prescription to the pharmacy and hung up. Now I am going to get a second opinion in the morning somewhere else because how can I trust what they are telling me when they don't even seem to know what they are doing. My son is 4 how dare they be so careless.
I don't like leaving negative reviews but I feel as though this is warranted. I visited the Urgent Care and for a second time at this place I was told that I probably just had something viral and the doctor didn't feel a need to test me for the flu/covid/rsv. For the second time we ended up having to head to the ER because I got much worse. I had the flu which turned into pink eye and an ear infection. A simple test to tell me I had the flu and to take it really easy instead of "a little viral thing" would have probably had me better in a couple days. Instead, I am now in the ER again and my symptoms keep getting worse.
The receptionists are all very nice though!
They need more than one doctor or PA on they get extremely busy and the wait time is ridiculous especially when you feel horrible but the staff were great
Shows open until 8pm yet turned away at 7: 45 pm wasting time money and resources of people in need.
Took my son there lastnight for his breathing and holding his ears. Treated the breathing, said his ears looked fine. 45 minutes later he was crying and holding his ear. Took him to his regular doctor less than 24 hrs later. DOUBLE EAR INFECTION! How did they miss that? His doctor could see it clear as day! Not very happy about that. And he is only 2! Did not put up a fight when they checked his ears either.
My nurse was wonderful and very friendly.the PA on duty on the hand was extremely rude with no bedside manners.
