Urban Woof NYC

We took our dog Bao to Urban Woof as a puppy for daycare 3x per week, and Urban Woof was awesome. Marcos and Sylvia (owners) always made us feel at ease and that our dog was well cared for. Couldn’t say enough good things about them!

We left our 6 month old dog with them for day care for about 4 hours. As we were leaving we saw him entering the room where all the dogs were and they all ran to him barking, and one even bit him. The staff assured us they are watching him and everything is OK, so we decided to go ahead and leave him there. When we came back we saw him in the corner, they said he "kept to himself". He didn't eat or drink the whole time he was there and they didn't seem to make an effort for him.
The worst part is now that a week has passed we found out that our dog caught Kennel Cough and we are sure he got it there.
Overall a bad experience and we will not return.

I was nervous about leaving my dog for four days but Urban Woof assured me that everything was going to be ok. When I picked up my dog he was in good condition same as I left him. Thank you Urban Woof.

I have boarded my dog here a few times for one to two nights when I can’t find a friend or family member to watch him. I recently boarded him for eight nights. He has separation anxiety so I love that they don’t place the dogs in kennels or crates. He always walks willingly into Urban Woof, which I can’t say about all places (like the vet or his groomer). My only issue with this place is that they never return uneaten food or treats. I sent him with ten days worth of food, treats, and dental bones and they returned nothing following his eight night stay. Not the end of the world, but I do wonder how well they are keeping track of the supplies we send. He doesn’t have a big appetite, so I know a lot went uneaten.

Overall, I think Urban Woof is a great place for doggy daycare and a short stay of boarding. I probably won’t board him again for an extended stay because I can’t trust how well they are tracking what he’s eating.

We were searching for a good groomer on the UES, and thankfully we found Urban Woof! They take great care of our pup and they really listen when we tell them our cut preferences. Highly recommend!

Urban Woof is the best all in one dog care service I’ve ever used. My dog Piper loves her group walks (she is scared of random city noises but her walkers pair her with other dogs that are more relaxed) and it is well worth the price. Day care has also been a godsend when working late at the office since they will deliver her back to the apartment if I text them that I’m running late and won’t be back home before 8pm pick up. I HIGHLY recommend using UW!

I highly recommend Urban Woof for grooming anxious, long-haired dogs! They try their best to accommodate the grooming style you request while also ensuring that your dog is safe and comfortable.

I highly recommend! I have known Marcos for over 15 yrs with my black labradors! I trust him and his crew! My dog Walter loves Leonardo! They have been a God-send with me getting over rotator cuff and toe joint surgeries!
