US Social Security Administration, Rochester NY

Visited on Wednesday 19th October. Got there for the opening at 9am and for seen very quickly. Please remember you need to wear a mask at the facility. Staff kindly provided me with one as I didn't know. Carl N served my mother and I and was kind, knowledgeable and very caring in regards to my father's death. 5 stars for him. Thank you Carl!

Showed up on a Thursday afternoon with no appointment. There were 2 people ahead of me. Waited less than 10 minutes to be seen. Handed over 2 folders of tax returns requested, in order to complete my retirement benefits application. The agent went through them, found what she needed, scanned them into my file and handed them back to me (in perfect order). I didn't have to do anything, really. Was out of there 10 minutes later. Very pleasant experience at the Greece office.

Not that anybody ever wants to deal with these people but would recommend taking matters else where if possible. Incomitance runs through this facility.

After reading a Total of No less than "8" Customer Service reviews, All Negative, I was prepared for the worst. Much to My surprise, I was out of there within "20" minutes & had My issues resolved in a Courteous, Professional manner. The 4050 West Ridge Road location in Rochester, New York was a smart facility with almost No waiting time. Great Job!

Can't get ahold to these people for nothing I have been calling and calling for a while now!

Very poor customer services. Been in the telephone line more then 2 hrs and no one still taking the calls.what kind of administration office is this? If phone lines are busy, then make a online apt for other people.

Can’t get nothing done. I’ve been waiting for my new card for 2 months now. They just left my application sitting, every time I call same excuses, “it’s being processed you will get it in 2 weeks” it’s been 2 months already SMH ‍️

It’s like they know that people need their services and use it as a reason to be unorganized, and provide terrible service, can’t get in without an appointment, calls drop, no one answers do you can get an appointment 2 hour plus wait times

Been trying to get in contact with an agent for three days now and nothing.
Either they hang up on me or no one answers. It's very frustrating!
I have important documentation just sitting there. Can someone please answer the phone!

It takes 1.5 mins to get thru the main menu, then the system hangs up on you when you hit 3.5 mins!

This place needs to be shut down and reorganized. Phone hangs up on me and I can’t reach anyone. No surprise it’s Rochester though. Awful office.

This location serve just the Greece people but! Why ignores to serve the people from other suburbs like gates, Chile irondiquote, Webster. Okay that’s fine to not to serve but why, who mandates this jurisdictions?

I hope you don’t have the experience like I did of needing help and talking to mrs P, quite possibly the rudest employee with zero empathy. I only got her name after calling back 5 times to speak with someone with any sense and decency. How does this person have a job working for the public?

This office is very unorganized. The workers do not answer the phones they actually let it ring and ring and then hang up. They take their time about processing paperwork. They do not honor court orders they use their personal agendas to satisfy their workday. In other words they lie and use their own personal judgments about individuals entitled to benefits to decide when and how they will receive their benefits. They will make you beg for your benefits. I have been waiting over 2 years for a decision about EXR that was supposed to take 6 months.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Horrible, horrible, horrible experiences with this office. I don't even understand how they could still be this rude and employed after all the negative reviews that go back months. Always take it to the judge with these folks. Can't trust anyone there.

WARNING! When dealing with this office, make sure you crate a paper trail and document things! Protect yourself when it comes to this office. Definitely the worst SSA I’ve dealt with. I report my wages both by phone and through mails They dont record the things I report every month by phone and then issue me overpayments. They are horrible at doing their jobs. They scan letters I send but don’t respond to them. They also don’t read things properly. They erroneously denied a reconsideration of mines because they didn’t even read the evidence I provided. Don’t get me started on the supervisor! I am lucky I was smart enough to document things with this office. 99% of the workers here are rushing you off the phone or forward you to the supervisor who never at the Phone or returns calls. BE CAREFUL WITH THIS OFFICE!

I had a very good experience today on the phone. I am having a unusual situation with my son and the woman helped me and was sympathetic to my situation.

Called few times. Hung up on me every time before I get a person. I’m deaf and I only need one single form. Useless service.
