The agent I called had a horrible attitude! I accidently replied with the wrong phone number when confirming the phone number I should call because the agent couldn't help with anything. When I accidently replied with the wrong number he was pressed, screamed through the phone "YO YO YO YO WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU" and hanged up right after. Ruined my whole day.

They don’t accept walk-in. You need to call a number to make an appointment before coming to this office.

I applied to this website easy apply y paid $35 dollars for legal name change inside the envelop i put all of the prove that can requested and organize and plus i paid priority mail and they sent me the ssc with the legal name wrong anyways, i returned back next day i received showing them their ERROR to the william street and still haven't receive my documents back for their mistake, same happen in DMV with the drivers license and is an imposible to get in touch the any of this institution neither over the phone and online because there is never space available.i defenatly they are not in to work.

Why bothering having an appointment if then you have to wait ~2hrs to be able to speak with someone?
They literally have 30+ booths but only 2 operational on a typical morning: it is just disrespectful vs taxpayers.

If you're gonna make an appointment by calling, just be ready to wait more than 2/3 hours just so you can slowly give up on calling.they wont answer.

The agent is not so helpful at all. Hung up the call before I could clear the issue I called for.

I like this place. Starting from security guard to all the staff, all of them are very helpful. It was systematic. I finished my work within 30-40 minutes.

Got here at 7: 15. They open at 7am. When I got upstairs, secutirty was kicking people iut stating they just recwived word they had to shut down, due to gov't Shut-down.

If there's a doubt that the office will not open, why not put it on the website?

The experience was awesome. I needed a new card and went in with all my documents and I was out of there within 30 minutes. I went around 8: 15 and was out by 8: 50. Also they said the card will get to me within a week!

I required a card service, and I specifically went to this location after reading the reviews of the one in Jamaica. Well worth it, as everyone in the office I interacted with was friendly, helpful, and even funny at 7: 15 in the morning. I was able to get in and out in under 10 minutes thanks to the office being well run.

If at all possible, go to this location for card services. Even if it is farther out of the way, the likelihood is that your wait will be less and more pleasant.

I got married and the first step to changing your name is social security card. The experience was easy. 3rd floor. Signed in. And I waited no more then 5 minutes at 1PM on a Thursday. In and out of the building less then 15 minutes. The lady I assigned to was incredibly pleasant!

This was my my first ever fast service experience in public government institution. My daughter and I were very surprise to be in and out within 30 mins. Awesome and helpful staff.

The staff and service here is first class. Applied for my SSA in a few minutes and it reached me in the mail in a couple of weeks. Smooth as silk. Even the security office at the door made everyone laugh.
They open early. Recommend you visit early with all your relevant documents and application form for a quick and easy visit when the crowd has not started.

First time at this location, guards are helpful and friendly, everything is organized and the wait isn't super long.

This office is located in a building with security. Security has to let you into the elevators. When you get to the office there is more security at the entrance. The place is clean and no crowds, at least when I went. Perhaps you should go just one hour before closing time. I was in and out in a flash. No drama at all! Just the way I like it.

After going to the wrong offices the same morning for a name change; frustrated and annoyed, I went to 123 William St. The security Ray Rawl (I think) was the nicest, funniest, most helpful security guards I've ever met. I didn't have all the documents needed for the name change, and was told to come back. Though disappointed, Ms. Chien at window #30 was super nice and helpful. She smiled, and gave me valuable information.

These people made my very annoying day so much brighter, even though I didn't leave with what I went for. I went back the following day, and got it done. These people are the perfect example of what customer service is all about. Thanks guys)

Fast service. This is the place they print the replacement social security card if your wondering. Get off the train at fulton street. You need proof citizenship (passport or birth) and a valid ID. Your welcome. Oh they have the applications here too if you dont want to print it at home.
