Heather planned a wonderful beach vacation for our family. Every detail was taken care of including hotel, flights and transfers. The hotel was everything that we asked for. Perfect! We had a really great time and would highly recommend using VBH.

VBH set my husband and I up with a vacation that was EXACTLY what I wanted - a pool by the beach, adults only, warm and tropical, and no time change. The all inclusive resort we ended up choosing, Melia Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, was gorgeous and way more affordable than I anticipated it would be. VBH booked our flight and arranged for us to have a private transfer to and from the resort. It was a wonderfully chill and restorative vaycay!

I enjoyed working with Heather! She’s patient, attentive and detailed oriented. This vacation was the first and will not be my last with Heather and her team.

After hearing good things from another family that used VBH, we enlisted them to help us plan a family vacation to Costa Rica in November. After an initial phone call to discuss budget and our general vacation goals, we worked directly with Holly Keith, who did an excellent job putting together an itinerary that matched our needs. She was very communicative and responsive during the planning process, and took the time to answer my many anxious-traveler questions. Even once we were in Costa Rica, Holly was quick to respond when we encountered a minor mix-up with an excursion (due to a vendor mistake). I'd definitely recommend Vacations By Heather.

Heather found us fantastic hotels, and the best glacier tour ever! Her recommendations were wonderful, she was organized, communicative, and worked so well with me when plans had to change. It was so nice to have an itinerary, to have it all booked and taken care of, so all I had to do was enjoy my vacation with my husband and kids.

Heather helped us plan (a rather last minute) honeymoon to Italy and we could not have been happier with the outcome. We did a ten day trip to Rome, Florence and ended in Sorrento and it was fantastic. Heather listened to what we wanted and even made last minute changes when we decided to change cities on our itinerary. Every hotel she chose was perfectly located and beautiful, the excursions she helped book for us all went smoothly and even the transfers between cities via train and car transfer went off without a hitch. I am old school and like to print off travel documents just in case, and Heather and her team beat me to it by mailing all of our reservations and confirmations to us directly. If you are thinking of booking a trip and don’t know where to start - use Heather and her team, you’ll be glad you did!

Amazing service! I would recommend to anyone looking for help planning a great vacation. We were in great hotels in perfect locations, all transfers were seamless and travel advice was great for planning a whirlwind tour of Italy and France with 3 teens. Plus super easy to work with and get in touch.

DO NOT USE! We had our complimentary conversation with Heather on July 4th to discuss where we wanted to go and what our goals were. We explained we wanted to go to Portugal in two months and we wanted to catch an evening flight on 9/17 instead of 9/18 so we could get an extra day. We told her we didn’t want to do tourist type things, but wanted to explore local delights and drinks. Heather explained that if we wanted to move forward; we would have to pay the $250 fee. We received and paid the invoice the same day; July 6th. Her associate, Kelly, emailed us the same day to confirm payment. Then radio silence. I waited five days, July 11th, then had to reach out to Heather. Then she passively aggressively responded by saying thanking us for checking in. She should be checking in with us, not the other way around. Another four days, July 15th, and no response! My girlfriend had to call the office and Explained to Kelly that we were upset that we paid 10 days ago and have not received an itinerary! Kelly told her to “calm down” and that she had seen our emails. We are paying customers with concerns about not being able to book this trip in time. Kelly tells my girlfriend Heather is on vacation. Why wouldn’t Heather tell us that beforehand? It would have been fine if she said “Hey there might be a delay, I’ll be on vacation. ” Or “ sorry I’m too busy to book your trip. ” All of a sudden Heather e-mails saying that there was poor reception and that she was frustrated. Excuse me; paying customers have been frustrated for 10 days! She also is saying that my partner doesn’t want to work with her; no she was trying to just get In touch with you and express our frustrations. Then she passively aggressively suggests we shouldn’t work with her if we don’t want to. Terrible approach, but she did refund the $250 fee. And was it a coincidence that her reception got better when we called and complained? I decided to give her another chance and see what she has to offer. She gave us the wrong fly out date; which was important to us and gave us a quickly put together itinerary. I told her to update the itinerary with the correct flight and she then resends one over budget! Blowing the entire budget on flights and hotel. All the activities were add ons and were tourist traps; specifically what we wanted to avoid. I could have put together this itinerary and have had everything booked. She obviously doesn’t care. I even emailed her telling her that due to her lack of communication I was worried that if something went wrong while we were over seas we wouldn’t be able to get in touch with her. Honesty, transparency, and communication is key in a professional relationship; all things were thrown away. She did not communicate, she did not care, and she wasted almost two weeks of our time! Don’t waste your time and use another agency.

Heather's team takes the worry out of travel! They curated the resorts that matched our needs and wants and took care of every detail after that. I especially appreciated Holly's responsiveness.

Heather is absolutely wonderful to work with and has helped us plan many amazing vacations so far! She's always there when you need her and I can't imagine working with anyone else!

Would like to start this review, by saying I never ended up going with a travel agent in all my past vacations. The value was never there. Heather provided great value and a great experience for the price. She helped us put together an amazing Honeymoon on very, very short notice. Especially with the quickly changing covid guidelines and rules, Heather was very thorough in not only letting us know what steps needed to be taken but helping us organize that as well. We even bumped into a small problem with transportation while we were away (not her fault and outside of her control), and she quickly helped us make other arrangements even with a drastic time diffrence. She will be the 1st person I call for my next vacation and highly recommend her.

Heather helped us plan a fantastic trip to Paris. She did a great job listening to what we were looking for, and provided recommendations that were well-aligned with our input. She found us amazing accommodations in an ideal location, and a great set of tours and activities. She was responsive to what we needed and provided excellent advice.
