The doctor overall was good but the front desk doesn’t know what they are doing. Neither the doctor nor the front desk u sets tops my insurance. They ended up over charging me and then when I called them back to get my refund after receiving my explanation of benefits the front desk starting playing dumb - telling me to get the money from my insurance company and that only the office manager or doctor could authorize the refund. So now I’ve called them twice and am still waiting for the doctor or office manager to follow up with me.

Although the service was great and the eye doctor was very informative, working with them cost me more money in the end. I initially went for a regular check up to see if my prescription changed. When I did, Dr. Cheung was indeed very informative and helpful. He definitely helped me transition from glasses to contacts. Very appreciative.
However, the issue for me is that when I asked them to send something to the DMV for my license last year, it appears as though that never happened. They were very helpful when I asked them today, but nothing could be done at this point as that vision test expired. Otherwise, I would have given them five stars. So, moral of the story, if you ask them for something just make sure to double down on it.

It did not seem like it took a long time but I guess it did haha. Anyway, Dr. Cheung was very informative in explaining the issues that I had with my eyes. (drawing pictures and all) I loved the look of the new frames I picked out and hope that they still feel the same when I receive them in two weeks. The only thing I think needs improvement on is the person who dealt with me to choose my glasses. Seemed like a nice guy however there was no explanation about what my lenses would cost as well as my prescription. My frames were under 200 dollars so of course I was surprised when everything came up to 700 dollars and then I had a discount from my insurance. I had everything I needed in my glasses for 300 bucks for YEARS. He was saying that I have thinner lenses and the refracting kind of frames but those things never cost me as much as I saw on the bill. Also, who said that I had to choose those options? I wasn't given any other option to choose from. Those were just automatically placed for me. I know that even if they say it would look better that there are other options that are cheaper and customers should be aware of that. Ive been wearing glasses for over 20 years and buying them myself for the past 10 years or more. There isn't just 1 option for lenses. It would be nice that if the sales people don't want to tell you those options that there is a poster or signage on the desk that shows the break down of the options and prices.

Very personable and passionate about his work, Dr. Cheung is thorough not only with exams but also with his explanations. He really makes you feel comfortable and reassured that you're in good hands. There was no wait time and his assistants were kind and friendly. Very pleasant experience overall, would recommend to all.
