Vanderstyne Toyota, Rochester NY

I’ve loved the service department here since 2012, although then it was VanderStyne Toyota. It just became West Herr Toyota a month ago. I was happy to see the same service people there that I’ve grown to trust over the years. Plus you can’t beat the Toyota Care program. I had my 15000 mile service and inspection for free. The best!

Called for inspection and got an appointment the same day. They told me I was due for oil change and tire rotation. I was in and out in 45 minutes. Excellent job.

Tony Manager stole my money deposit for vehicle that he was supposed to deliver. When I looked up vin on my contract it showed that car was actually @ another dealership in Fairport. He delivered another car from Buffalo and stated that he needs to have title first to sell it and that I needed to wait but he will deliver it. I asked to look @ the car and when I saw the car it didn’t look or drive the same as Toyota that I drive tested and own before. I drove just around few feet around building beginning read of 67 miles and getting up to 87 miles. Something wasn’t right. I decided to actually go & find legal dealer in Fairport & purchased actual car new I wanted with that VIN number. Tony refused to give me money back as it stated in contract by specific car VIN number.

Pretty terrible dealership to work with. Lease deal was verbally arranged, and then they called back 15 minutes later and tried to raise the price. Stoker the manager was rude and unhelpful, and Rick the salesman was inept. I wouldn't want to work with a dealership that dealt with their customers that way. I'll take my business elsewhere.

Normally, Vanderstyne is a great place to go to have maintenance done on our vehicles. But on Dec. 17, my wife brought her 2017 Sienna in for an oil change. When she returned home, the engine appeared to be dripping what appeared to be oil. A 2 year old (bought it new Dec 2017) engine that we do not abuse should not be leaking. I have no choice but to say that something wrong happened at the shop and now I'm stuck with with a leaking van, and I'll have to spend half a day waiting to have it fixed.

I bring my vehicle here for servicing and it's a nice little dealership/service center with comfortable seating and WiFi in the waiting room

I have 2012 Rav4 pearl white and the paint is literally peeling of the car it is completely off the roof. I have taken extremely good care of my vehicle and love this car. However when I took the car in today to be looked at the service guy was extremely rude and lack of empathy he barely looked at my car and then proceeded to tell me there was no remedy to fix or repair the paint. Very poor customer service and I will not be going back to vanderstyne.

These guys replaced the frame on my truck and so far the work is holding up. They had to completely tear down the truck and replace everything which is a huge feat. Good work guys! The parts are expensive here though. Full MSRP on dealer parts shouldn't be a thing anymore.

Horrible customer service. Wouldn't even let us talk to a salesperson. Just sent a girl out to give us numbers that were WAY too high and unreasonable. Wouldn't even work with us or negotiate! Will never go back.

Great place to by used or brand new vehicles. The atmosphere is friendly and they are very accommodating.

Great service department. All advisors are knowledgable and courteous. Prices are fair. They never try to sell me services that I don't need. Comfortable waiting room.

I have a highlander that was making a strange noise. I took it to my local shop and then felt I needed a second opinion. Vanderstyne was able to get me in quickly. They gave an honest assessment of the car that matched local shop, and then gave honest pricing information. In the end, the repair was less expensive at mylocal garage. But the experience at Vanderstyne was excellent and when I'm ready to buy my next Toyota, that's where I'll go.

Tried to work with Richard Simmons, awful sales rep. Horrible experience, poor customer service. Grumpy and rude. Won't be back. Ended up going to Dorschel and had a much better experience.
