Via Quadronno reviews
13Loved there old location on 59th and 5th. They definitely dropped the ball here, the customer service is very bad, not welcoming and needs to return back to the original Italian feeling that it used to have. I wish it gets better but I won’t be returning.
The worst tiramisu we have ever tasted. Did not taste anything like mascarpone, coffee, nor rum. The paninis were ok, but not worth the price. I had a hard time sitting comfortably because the seat they assigned us has strands of spaghetti all over the floor. It also took them an awful lot of time for them to give us our change. We weren’t the only ones complaining for the long wait.
The supposably most popular traditional tiramisu here is heavy, overly sweet and has dry sponge cake and lady fingers with little to no coffee whatsoever. It’s essentially a block of sugary cream (not light mascarpone) for 13 dollars. Very disappointed.
Im not from NY. Im visiting from California. This small eatery is really cute.nice cashier and "owner" lady. Got chocolate ice cream on a sugar cone and a chocolate croissant. Very tasty. Went back in and got several cookies for 75 cents each.
Good stuff.
Truly European. The food is of a very good quality and it’s not heavy. I always get the soups but all of their dishes are great, the lasanga, the paninis, open faced sandwiches.
Poor service and food quality
They let you do no changes to the plates and their very simple menu it’s not even close to what is expected. Not worth your money
A little taste of Europe at this cozy upper East side destination. Gorgeous coffees, delicious tiramisu, and satisfying sandwiches.
Food is good, prices are in line for Manhattan. I got the veal chop. Tender but not the best cut. I would definitely go back but I would stick with the pastas.
The food left a lot to be wanted from. The pasta was bland. The prices were not fitting for the menu. The server was also very reluctant and denied me any minute changes to the menu hence I had to order something I didn’t really want and then was further disappointed by the taste. I would not recommend.
Danna is back in NYC after a long pandemic break. Viva NYC! And doing a frigid February tour of “Central Park Region” - aka upper east and upper west. Solid place and we’d return to sample their main dishes. We stopped in to warm up with some hot tea and hot chocolate and tiramisu. The Tiramisu was $12.50 and noted as most popular desert - suggest a pass and go for one of their others. It ranked very low on the “good tiramisu scale. ” With that said the place just had a good, welcoming feel. Staff were nice and - very important - friendly to each other. The cozy vibe with a classic Manhattan cafe feel makes it a place worth visiting. Looking forward to returning for their actual meals!
We happened to find this place while wondering around for a chill place to sit and have food. The outside seating was super cozy with the provided heaters. Our waiter was also super nice and responsive and the service was fairly quick!
Get the paninis when you come here! I got the Il Tiroler panini and my aunt got the La Madunina. The Il Tiroler was very refreshing with the goat cheese and vegetables alongside the savory speck, would recommend! I also got the Caffè, with with they bring you some foamed milk so you can add your desired amount.
The tiramisu really deserves all the praise, the creme was light and foamy and not too sweet. It doesn't have a lot if coffee flavor to it though. We also got a pecan tarte and vanilla ice cream - the tarte was warm and buttery and went great with the cold and fresh ice cream!
Food is average. Small portions and no tasty at all
**BE CAREFUL, SERVICE IS INCLUDED IN THE CHECK (18%)
BUT AT THE END THEY WILL GIVE YOU YOUR RECEIPT AND A PEN TO ADD MORE TIP (BE CAREFUL WITH THAT, IT’S TRICKY)
The decor might be nice, but the patrons are snobby white rich folks. The waiters screw up your order and doesn’t take you seriously if you’re part of the dominant class. Also for two people for dessert and coffee to 50$ is way too expensive.
