This is a great Catskills resort. I went for a ballroom and tango dance weekend. The food is excellent and the staff is very friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to please you and make you feel comfortable. I particularly liked the beautiful indoor pool! I do a lot of exercising in the pool, so I was extremely happy with the large indoor pool and jacuzzi. The resort has been around for a long time. My room was in the main building and it was very comfortable and very clean.

Real review about the time share lodging.
Start with the good that made it two stars. The program that they put on and the staff working are great. They have lots of activities that are fun. Doc and Matt are great hosts.

If you are looking for modern, you are in the wrong place. I feel like I went into a hot tub time machine and transported back to the 1980’s. Except we are modern day with stuff that has been used since the 80’s and the parties the last 40 years were awesome because the once red floor is brown, the once pink chairs are brown and everything is brown. Time for an update.
Overall, I don’t recommend this place unless you get an amazing deal.

Walls & Doors are paper thin! I wasn’t given a Room Key Upon Check-In & told to wait for maintenance at room and head to timeshare office next morning to grab keys? !? Studio has No Coffee Machine, No Mini Refrigerator, No Microwave, Tough to get me Coming Back

Fantastic! We planned a winter vacation and ended up making it an annual event. Delicious food, friendly and helpful staff, activities for the entire family. Total win!

Stay away. 1 star hotel accommodations, tv's are 15 years old. Cable blocks use of any modern hdmi connections, like game machines and amazon firesticks. Electrical wiring in bedrooms have both plugs controlled by the switch such that you must turn bedroom light manually off and on, defeating the purpose of having a switch. Interferes with the use of a clock or cpap machine. No store onsite- must travel 25 minutes. Restaurates average $20-40 per entree. On-site pool is like a ymca, no theme. Have activities but are expensive.

My grandmother, wife and I stayed at The Villa Roma for one week, and it was the best week we've had in a while. The staff, including Matt and Doc Holiday, provide excellent entertainment. The rooms were spotless, cozy, and the staff treated us with the utmost care and respect. 10/10 would come back!

This place has a lot of positive things like good food, many activities on site, free shows and much more but it also has many small negative things. Worst WIFI I have ever experienced in any venue. Different networks for Timeshare and hotel and you must connect with each depending where you are. In the Roman Cafe couldn't get a signal without playing with connections. Secondly is Parking by the main entrance where most activities and restaurants are located. You either park by your room, in.oir case a Timeshare unit and walk or call for the van to pick you up. If you drive they have a parking lot which is a distance away from the main entrance and the lot has more potholes than NYC roads! With so many people walking the roads are poorly lit which can cause tripping or some other type if accident. In the main lobby the ice cream and Starbucks shop was closed most of the week, we arrived in Sunday wasn't open until Thursday. Mask wearing is an issue. If you had vaccinations you do not have to wear a mask however, children were running around without masks throughout the hotel and Not one staff person did or said anything. This is just wrong. I said they are small issues and they are but we still had a great time, staff is very helpful and willing to assist you whenever necessary. Cleaning staff were wonderful. Waitresses in Roman Cafe were excellent. Scenery is amazing, deer everywhere.

Dated decorator, very clean, great friendly staff, extremely accommodating. Fabulous & delicious food. Portions too large. The portions are enough to feed 3 people. They will give you a doggie bag.

1 star, only because I can’t give it 0. SUNDAY. Place is empty, yet they gave us a room FAR from everything, had to manage several ramps with handicapped person. Room has a musty smell to it, but is clean. Dinner spot closed, sent to Roman Cafe, where food was mediocre at best. MONDAY Tried to join some activities, but no one here. Dinner spot still closed, dinner at cafe again. Pot roast was warm (at best). Chicken was literally FRIDGE COLD inside, had to send it back and get a different dish. Waited 35 minutes for replacement to come out. Tried to join poker game, only 1 other person showed up. TUESDAY Went to dinner, got sent up to 3rd floor dinner hall. At dinner hall, told it was too late, they don’t serve after 730 (we got there at 755), told to go back to 1st floor. Again, warm food. Every seat/sofa/armchair must be here since 1970, they look worn and cushions just disappear when you sit on them. A TRUE WASTE OF MONEY. Can’t wait to get out of here tomorrow.

I have been going there since I was a teen and we used to love it. Unfortunately the place has gone downhill in the last couple of years. As a timeshare owner our maintenance continues to increase, however there is always something broken in the room when we arrive. It is frustrating because I call before I go and ask them to make sure the room is in order. When I got there the last time there was a leak above the toilet and while my guest was using it, the tile fell down. Luckily she wasn't hurt. When maintenance came they just replaced the tile and not the leak so by the time we left, another water stain was appearing. Unacceptable for a place that prided themselves on being a qyality, high class resort. It used to be so classy when Marty was running things. Now he spends most months in Florida and Carolyn tries to keep up but I think she is overwhelmed. She blames it on being understaffed. I think they pay below average. Meanwhile making so much money on timeshare owners. Its ridiculous I have to complain every time I go. Its annoying. The last straw was seeing a roach in the brand new kitchen 2 December's ago. But what made it worse was the housekeeper asked me if maybe we brought it up in one of our bags. How insulting. No I don't have roaches in my house. She tried to say it was a stinkbug and when a maintenance worker came to room to fix the leak she asked him, isnt this a.stinkbug and he said yes. I know a roach when I see one.besides that we managed to have a great time. There could be more for the teens though. They used to have day trips to go white water rafting for the teens and A teen talent show. Its sad. It has so much potential and Hollywood tries so hard to make it fun. He loves what he does and he is the best thing they have there!

After an 8 hour drive, an amazing massage with Crissy completely alleviated my shoulder pain. I was very relaxed and ready to start hiking and sight seeing. She made me feel very comfortable and was easy to talk to. I would highly recommend her! Charlotte M.

I am done. I am way over it. See ya Villa Roma. It wasn't good while it lasted. I tolerated it for family. And now it must come to an end.

The place wasn't bad but I didn't like the fact that you had no internet or Wi-Fi. That's a definite no no in these days in time

This is a multi building resort and hotel. The timeshare condos are roomy with adequate size kitchens. There are hotel type rooms as well as one and two bedroom condos with outside decks.
You can purchase food packages in the main hotel area for dining or visit their restaurants for all meals as you wish. There is a coffee and ice cream shop too.
There are many activities available to join in on and a few bars and nightly entertainment.
With Covid they do comply with CDC guidelines related to housekeeping and all activities!

The accommodations are very comfortable and Villa Roma has so many activities. The food is good, but I would like to see more for diet. Various personnel are very nice. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

The Villa Roma is a nice getaway. The food and service are better than most of the Catskill resorts. The golf course is in very good shape and maintained well. Due to its hilly terrain, I wouldn't recommend it for "duffers", but good golfers should handle it fine.

Awesome time. Great resort and service. I just wish I knew the dates for all the amenities prior to coming. There are seasonal activities that are unavailable at this time. However, we are having a great day!

If you go there from NYC you won’t like the food.
No spices. They put sugar in lots of things, most of their dishes I didn’t like but
Some of waiters were nice. Tony was awesome.
Hotel was clean
