I love this cafe. A variety of food and snack options as well as the bakery items and very very good coffee!

Can we talk about the fact that their Potatoes (veg) are cooked in Pork Fat? And it's not Disclosed? I appreciate the employee that pointed this out to me as I proceeded to place my order not knowing.
Wonder what else is cooked with it.

To me it was a very expensive place for what you get. Very noisy atmosphere on a Saturday morning. I wish they would put some sound absorption material on the ceiling to muffle it a little. I have a little bit of a hearing problem and so when I was trying to order I couldn't hear the cashier. I asked her twice to repeat what she said. When she replied to me I kept saying I'm sorry I can't hear you. The third time I said ma'am you really need to speak up cuz I can't hear you. She got super annoyed and basically almost started yelling so that I could hear. Kind of rude service. I ordered a egg and cheese breakfast sandwich and a cafe caramel hot coffee. They were very busy so it took a little while which I understood was accepting of. The young girl that was making the coffee was somewhat overwhelmed because of the massive amount of orders. She did a very good job Even though she was stressed and she was very pleasant to interact with. One of the few places I have been where when you get a caramel coffee she actually took the time to stir it so all the caramel syrup wasn't just sitting on the bottom of the cup. I think they're a couple times for doing the extra effort. So when I got to the point of eating my sandwich I noticed that there was a piece of bacon on top. I thought it was just like a piece from the grill they got caught in the eggs. But I was thinking to myself, what if I was Muslim or some other type of thing where I shouldn't be eating pork? Or even allergic to pork? Then when I bit into it the whole bottom of it was bacon. Now I like bacon but for someone else that could have been a serious problem. So the egg and cheese sandwich was one price and any additional things like bacon, cost you more.which is expected. The roll that the sandwich was on was very good, seemed to be homemade. The coffee was very tasty not like chain coffee stores. I believe they were slightly cheaper than let's say Starbucks for the same type of coffee. I would go back again but definitely not on a Saturday morning. Hopefully whatever cashier they have on would be a little bit more friendly and understanding. Parking was not that great. Handicap parking spaces were marked very poorly because of the worn paint and no signage. Handicap accessible ramp. Doors were extremely heavy so I would think anybody that was handicapped or in a wheelchair would have difficulty opening them. Interior decoration and seating was very nice. Very spacious inside and they had seating outside for the nice weather to enjoy your purchases. They had more options than just coffee and sandwiches. I felt uncomfortable taking photos because it was so busy and thought it was a imposition on the customers privacy but it really needs to be photographed so that people can appreciate the whole place.

Cheese Danish was fine but only ordered a regular medium coffee with it and waited and waited…. Wasn’t busy at that point either.

It's okay. Not the worst and not the greatest.
The coffee isn't the best, it does t taste the greatest to me.
I don't get the hype, but the village bakery serves a purpose I guess.
I feel you'd get more for your money at a dinner.

They serve extremely fast even when there should be a good wait time. Luckily when you're in line you can look at all their baked goods and merchandise they sell so it doesn't feel like very long.

The first time I walked in I was put off by how busy the space is. Which I would prefer them be busy because they deserve the business, but I was expecting a laid back cafe vibe. But everyone does their own thing and won't bother you. It's really respectable, even for an introvert like me. Just walk in and take an empty window spot!

Indulgent Delights Await You! The breakfast sandwiches are amazing. The baked goods will haunt your dreams. I've tried several of the a.m. Offerings and have loved it all. The ingredients are fresh and local. Vegetarian options are delicious as well.

The price was a little more expensive than I feel is necessary and if your not going out to the tables to serve people a tip should not be suggested with payment in my opinion.

Delightful cafe! What a range of menu items! From macaroons and cakes, to breakfast sandwiches, quiches, salads and more.

The food is decent but the coffee! The cold brew will keep you going for days!

Really lovely service and so great to eat outside in the sun. Also popular for delivery.

I had a veggie half-sandwich, which was very tasty, and a lemonade to drink. If you go at lunchtime, plan to wait in line and then to a while wait for your food. The restaurant was clean and light with a pleasant view, however it was a bit noisy.

Breakfast (classic) arrived cold - everything; the sausage, potatoes and eggs. The scrambled eggs were obviously from a premix - they should tell you/list this in the menu. And the coffee had a burned taste.

We got the Kyoto coffee and a latte, both were among the best we've had from anywhere. Looking forward to go back for a proper breakfast

A great spot for a full breakfast in Webster village. They're usually busy but it's because they're good. Great spot to meet friends or family for breakfast on the weekend!

I love going here but it takes a long time to get your food. We went when there were very few people in there and still took forever. No silverware, we told them but didn't refill. Frustrating because the food is great.

I had been interested in trying Village Bakery & Cafe for some time and finally had the opportunity to go today with my husband.
While the food was good, I am not sure it is a place we would frequent, just based on our preferences.
First of all, We didn't realize that it was more of an order-at-the-counter (cafeteria style) place as opposed to an order-from-your-table (sit down restaurant) kind of situation. That was not necessarily a drawback, just unexpected.
Once you order, you then wait for your name to be called for your drinks and then for your food.
For us, this was a bit of an issue as we both have hearing loss which makes it difficult to differentiate between similar sounding names (Dan? Pam? Jan? Sam?) even under optimal circumstances. Having the additional sounds of surrounding conversations and normal cafe bustle made this a bit problematic for the two of us.
The inside seating mainly consists of stools at a counter, large family size tables (6-8 chairs) and then a few smaller tables. There are also outside tables, as well.
We decided to sit inside and the only non counter-style seating available was at a large table with 7 chairs. Another group had just vacated the table when we sat down, so, as the table was a bit sticky and dirty, we just wiped down the areas in front of us, ourselves.
As this was our first experience at Village Bakery & Cafe, I am not sure if patrons are expected to clean up the tables themselves or not (patrons are expected to remove dishes to a bussing area when finished), but we did not notice anyone wiping down any tables while we were there.
I had the French toast breakfast with a coffee smoothie (I really liked that the smoothie was not overly sweet!) And my husband had a full breakfast with an Arnold Palmer (half iced tea, half lemonade) I took a bite of his potatoes and thought they were delicious, although a bit on the salty side, but my husband was not impressed with his drink. It was also not overly sweet.but the problem was that it didn't taste like.anything. Neither of us could taste any Lemon, whatsoever.just tea.
I don't know about my husband, but I plan to give them another try, perhaps for a bakery take-out item. When I do, I will let y'all know how it goes!
