Village Hands Cafe, Monroe NY

Really nice country-kitchen type spot. Limited menu, but food is tasty. Regular coffee was good. Will be back to try more of the menu.

I can't believe it's taken me this long to eat here! I absolutely love everything about it. The croissants are amazing and the over medium eggs were cooked perfectly. It's also a super cute place inside and they have outdoor seating as well. The service was friendly and fast. The only problem is that there were so many items on the menu I wanted to try that I had a hard time deciding what to order. I can't wait to go back and try something else!

Update: I've been back many times and have more favorites! The croque monsieur and the croquet madame, as well as the open faced egg salad are amazing! I still always get a flat white but the hot chocolate is delicious and I typically don't like hot chocolate because it is too sweet. Their pastries are also delicious.

Food and pastries are very good. Best croissants I have had this side of the Atlantic. Although some times I can tell they are a day old. I always order a large Latte but the size of the cup is not consistent. Highly recommend you pay them a visit

We've been longtime customers here, so when we got married we HAD to have Village Hands coffee served with our wedding cake. I mean, I can't go a day without drinking a cup of village hands coffee (gotta love the fresh roasted beans I can take home). They brought everything in a nice neat package, and it was so tasty! They brought over everything we needed to serve 100 people coffee, and it was so reasonably priced. We love the atmosphere of the restaurant, and now I know they do fabulous events too!

Village hands Cafe has a homey vibe with outdoor seating to enjoy the weather. I went there for lunch with my wife and enjoyed a tuna melt, and chipotle turkey sandwich with Rose flavored latte.

SADDEST oatmeal I’ve ever had in my life. Runny, stingy on whatever stuff was supposedly in it and at $9.00 it’s most certainly not worth the disappointment.

Maybe the young lady who took my order had a lot on her mind when she served me, but as I arrived at the quite lovely little cafe she had been collecting flower vases from the tables and accidentally dropped one on the floor leaving some water there. She happily took my order but did not give me a spoon to stir my coffee. Found it odd that they would sell you decaf coffee in ground or bean form but didn’t offer it brewed for customers. I ordered the chorizo bowl which was delicious if somewhat pricey (price was not listed on menu board for any food items I saw, just the coffee bar listing). Not really a complaint due to the area being a bit more expensive than my neighborhood. Otherwise the service was fine, I got a spoon from the counter and very much enjoyed my meal. The spilled water had not been attempted to clean up when I left. I’m generally only around here for doctors appointments and had passed here several times before. Would definitely recommend and consider this as an occasional splurge. I’m sure this was an unusual occurrence though this was around 10: 30am on a Tuesday so not exactly the busier time of day.

We are paying for the atmosphere, which is 10/10—a great spot to lounge with a coffee. Food, although presented nicely, lacked life and purpose. Hot sauce all over to help.

You would think something simple like avocado toast would be mediocre and you could make it at home but wow! The combination of the light tartness of pickled onions and the 7 spice flavours melded so well with the avocado and bread! I also got the iced chai latte with coconut milk and it was a large portion and had nice flavours. It’s not strong but it’s pleasant. Such a cool atmosphere! Lots of art on the walls and coffee beans for sale on the shelves etc. Would definitely come again. There are two or three vegan options depending what menu you order from

I drove by Village Hands Cafe and always promised myself to visit one. Well, today I did and what a wonderful experience it was!
Delicious and fresh food, very eclectic selection of beverages, unique ambiance. 100% rating in every category.

Great place with great food and cozy atmosphere.

I do have one complaint. I was the second person in line and had to wait 20+ minutes just to place an order!

You can’t have the person working the register also making the coffee, handling the money and delivering the food to the tables. It’s slow, unsanitary and annoying to wait that long!

Nice stop after walking on the Orange Heritage Trail. Muffins were good and lattes delivered to our table hit and fast - and were delicious. Enjoyed a short visit. Menu looked good for lunch, but it was a bit early for us.

Service is awful here. I was very disappointed. This is my second time coming and once again my toasted croissant is cold. I thought it should at least be warm?
Waited in front of the front cashier for a few minutes without a basic greeting. What ever happened to saying hello. So I went ahead to say hello and was met with blank stares.
Since I was meeting a friend I decided to stay. They completely got my order wrong. This place is the pits. Basic food at best. I think people come because it’s the only place in this area with this view. Which is honestly the best thing they have going for them… I will not come here again.

Built my own omelet with spinach, feta cheese, and salmon. It was fluffy and delicious! Staff is super friendly. Cozy, rustic atmosphere filled with artwork and ample seating indoors and outdoors. Great WiFi too.

We spent the weekend in this area and we were looking for a good spot for breakfast. We found this cute little place and as we walked in the place had a unique and cute atmosphere. There were numerous paintings on the walls and cute decoration all over the place.
They had antique furniture which looked really nice.
We ordered sandwiches for breakfast they were delicious and the portions were generous.
Friendly staff, quick service, great options of the flavorful coffee. Only 1 hour drive from the city and many hiking trails in that area.
This place is also kid friendly! Highly recommended!

I love their coffee so much here, the staff is super nice, the food is amazing, and the vibe of the place is so relaxing and amazing for sitting down and chatting or doing schoolwork or any number of things one likes to do at a coffee shop <3

Great people in this coffee shop and bakery. The coffee was perfect. The pastries delicious.
