Vilma's Bakery, Haverstraw NY

I absolutely love this place. There are super kind. They carried my cake to my car for me. They help you bring your vision to life. This is where I got all my families and friends cakes, cupcakes from. Not only the taste is amazing but the details are great. I post one of my favorite ones.

They have very good Dominican cake and pastries that are underpriced. You will get a bang for your buck.

Heard a lot about this place. I went there for a birthday cake. Wasn't disappointed. Their Tres Leches cake is to die for.

If you have a special event, they will take care of your cake without fail. Ultimately I will use your services again.

Update: Well, we've been here, though not when it's crowded, and we still mask up. It's good. I don't know if it deserves the raves I've seen elsewhere, but it's good. Nice selection of pastry and dependable coffee. We prefer it to other options in Haverstraw, mostly because it's as good as other food, it's really affordable, and it's been here longer.

Previous: We really, really wanted to go here. We're moving to the area next month, and we're looking for the place to get our regular bakery fix. But this morning, there were three people working and one customer, and no one was masked. I even asked them if they EVER masked, and they smiled and shook their heads "no", like that was going to encourage me to come in. WE were wearing masks. With the newest and most highly contagious strain of SARS-CoV2 just taking off, there is absolutely no way we're trusting people we don't even know not to get us sick, especially if none of their customers has to mask up. Again, we really, really REALLY wanted to like this place. We've had friends and their relatives die from COVID-19. Vilma's can keep their cake. We'd rather not die.

This was my first time coming here for my gender reveal cake. I ordered dulce de leche and it was absolutely delicious. The cake came out exactly like the photo I showed them. Amazing service and amazing cake. They just gained a customer for all our future parties! All our guests kept asking asking us where we bought the cake from!

My aunt ordered our baby shower cake from this amazing bakery! Not only was the cake beautiful, it was sooo delicious! The top layer was filled with pineapple & the bottom was filled with dulce de leche! Highly recommend!

I bought some sweets and they were all old. I asked the girl if they were fresh and she said yes when in reality they were super old, hard and dry. I also bought a cake and it was never the same as other times, I didn't know the same. It was a disappointment.

There is not enough stars to rate Vilma’s bakery. It’s always a great visit and many goodies to choose from. So delicious and the staff is always welcoming. It’s feels like home when I visit.

I got a tres leches cake for my husband’s birthday party and it was delicious! It was also decorated perfectly! We got a lot of compliments on the cake, would highly recommend to anyone. Thank you!

Amazing! Amazing! Amazing! I am speechless with how this cake turn out. This dulce de leche cake was a hit. The frosting was out of this world. Exceeded expectations. Definitely recommend.

The tres leches was delicious just that it was so sweet that we had a lot of left over because it will be so sickly of the over dose of sugar lol but it’s tasty they could improve their writing it was sloppy

Did a Two Groovy theme for my daughters birthday and I wanted a tie dye design. They nailed the design and my guests raved about how yummy the cake was. Def recommend!
